Agree with the H. Minor being fairly easy to grow. I grow some in my windowsill since 2022. And from 3 barrely adult pitchers now i have 2 pots full of plants almost outgrowing its media. The best thing is they survived last summer head with maximums of even 35 - 39 °C 😳 (and rather 27-30 °C across the whole summer day and night)

YEah without enclosure i was not able to do it so i gave up on this one, just not worth the stress to provide its habitat hahah happy with the others, great video!

This is my next new plant for me. I will be getting a hold of you John.

Fridge works. I overwintered my VFT, Sarracenia, & seasonal drosera for the entire winter season here in IL. Was in Fridge November-April (longer than advised). No side effects other than some fungus as mentioned

Breaks my heart that I used bad quality, broken down peat from an old bale. I trew myself back into pygmies last winter and 90% of them have died since 😭 thx for the info, I will repot with new good peat!

I just put some rotting food next to my carnivorous plants for a day or two. The flies will come and climb in by themselves. Doing this now for 4 or 5 years. All plants are doing very well

Sorry spathulata x hamata teeth are nowhere NEAR as cool as pure hamata. Also plants are worth whatever you’re willing to pay for them. Do I wish some were cheaper! Absolutely. Also you can wait for the price to go down. For a long time Rajah x Lowii was going for $275-$399 and even more for private grown seed grown seedlings. Bergen water gardens were the only ones NOT beating people over the head for them @ $150 for a small… now Rajah Lowii goes for $99-$150.. truncata x edwardsiana is highly coveted hybrid and were easily going for $500-$1000 for 6-12 inch plants . Last November, Dom had them going for $200 for all different sizes, as mine was a XL specimen with 8 inch pitchers. Again, point being, you can wait a year or so for the price to go down. I recently bought a villosa x (lowii x truncata) valued at almost $400 when it went on sale for st. Pattys day because I noticed it had a basal and can sell that… so there’s ways you can finesse as well.

I only buy seedlings now and I’m glad I can tell which Veitchii will have stripes are not at a young age.

The only reason i have this issue is drosera capensis. I've been feverishly giving them away to people but people aren't kidding when they call it a weed.
