Tutorials and tours of my Los Angeles Halloween home haunt
Create a Haunted Mansion Dueling Ghosts Lenticular
We are starting our Disney's Haunted Mansion inspired bathroom remodel with some original art. We have recreated the Dueling Ghosts by dressing up, taking pictures and turning them into three stage lenticulars that move as you walk by.

Sonic Transducer Fog Machine in Action

A little video to show the output of my no fog juice low lying fog machine.
NEVER BUY FOG JUICE AGAIN - DIY ultrasonic fogger that uses water.
Просмотров 10 тыс.3 года назад
Eliminate the need for parsing out fog juice over the night and chilling it so that is stays low. This Halloween, for the price of a quality fogger you can make an ultrasonic mist maker / fogger that runs on only water. I decided to make a little ad for my home haunt. If the ghosts don't scare you, the jokes will.
DIY Halloween - LED Candle Altar
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.3 года назад
Is your graveyard lit? It will be! Create your own weatherproof candles out of PVC pipe and then wire them into one impressive glowing altar. Surprisingly cheap and easy and if you like hot glue guns, fun! LED Flicker lights www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XK9NCB7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hello! This is my first time trying to mist my haunt and wanted to see how your mister has held up before making the investment? Thank you! Your haunt looks awesome!
What a fun project!
0:43 Using a solvent like acetone or acetone based nail polish remover to remove the printing on the PVC makes far less of a mess than sanding everything.
Good tip!
Brilliant. Gonna have to steal your idea for next year 😅
Foam is surprisingly resistant. I thought I had nothing better to do than carve a hole in a foam skull for a candle. 30 mins and 1 re aggravated wrist injury later I was done 😂 great job I love this idea!
10/10 ventriloquism! Turned out really nice. I love the how much the dry brushing brings out the details.
Great job, I love how it turned out.
I know this video is from 2 years ago but I just started searching and saw this. I've seen someone put frozen water bottles in the output tube with a similar device. Have you experimented with that at all. I was just wondering if it allows the fog to hang around longer or be any thicker or is it just an unnecessary extra step?
I haven't tried it, but I usually see the chilling used for fog juice to make it stay low to the ground. Since the vapor is already heavier than the air it stays low. Would be fascinated if it somehow made the vapor last longer.
ouuu spooooookyyyyy~~
You literally skip over the most important part. Connecting power source. What power source did you use?
I used a simple 12v wall-wart, I soldered barrell connection connected to the copper tape and it worked great!
If it holds up it'll be cheaper than fog machines and juice. In my experience they don't work after two Halloweens and some didn't work after the first year. Plus the fog juice is choking in small spaces. Great idea and hope it lasts.
The copper tape is an inspired idea. One suggestion: 1) make the wire leads to the LEDs like motor brushes that extend just beyond to lower perimeter of each candle. 2) In laying out the copper tape, do equidistant stripes alternating + and -. Adjust the brushes for each candle to match the spacing of the copper tape stripes. As long as you align the brushes with the correct polarity, you have virtually unlimited freedom to simply place each candle where you want it and not permanently solder them in position. So one year it can be full of candles, the next can have candles at either end with another prop in the center.
I love this idea!!!
Thank you for this!! I've built fog chillers in the past and ive been planning on making one for this winter when i upgrade my streaming setup. I stumbled upon your videos after finding chillers that were similar to yours, but those ones had a fogger routed through the system. After seeing your output, i think i should be fine going with just the mister and simplifying the build!!
Thanks for the follow up video. Looks amazing! This is ultimately the goal we want to achieve. How many misters are you running? Is it a 10 or 12 head?
It's a 12 head
acetone for the red print...
Using only a ultrasonic mister doesn't create long lasting low lying fog. Is that the reason you don't show us a demo of the fog?
It keeps up pretty well. That's on me for not uploading a video at night. I will get one up ASAP
Here it is in action, let me know what you think ruclips.net/video/g40IBuEd7-s/видео.html
what were you using for a power source? great setup, I have never thought about the copper strip.
just a regular wall-wart 12v
Nice. What PVC pipe did you use? The walls of those pipes look thinner than the standard PVC pipes I bought at Home Depot to create my candles. My PVC is too thick to get the nice translucent effect from the LEDs you are getting.
Mine were from Home Depot too, I just looked for the thinnest walls they had.
can you show us what it looks like? You forgot to do that...
Finally uploaded one ruclips.net/video/g40IBuEd7-s/видео.html
But it’s not making a lot of mist 😕
When they fan blows through it, it does pretty well.
Here is a visual ruclips.net/video/g40IBuEd7-s/видео.html
Awesome! I’m building this. Thanks! Oh! And about how much space can the fog cover without the use of oil?
It doesn't use oil, just water. It covers about a 10 ft area well
Take a look at the fog machine in action ruclips.net/video/g40IBuEd7-s/видео.html
Great instruction and the ending was a hoot!
Nicely done! Whereabouts are you folks located and are you haunting again this year?
I don’t know how that didn’t leave you with a huge mess of debris. I did a similar thing and my garage was jam packed with tiny PVC flecks everywhere! 😂
understand, I have a shop vac under my workspace that is always at the ready!
The only problem with ultrasonic mist is that is disappears almost instantly.
I don't think it lasts as long as fog juice but the output kept up and made a pretty nice layer of fog.
Super cute!
That’s a fun project, that would look so cool on my piano. Next year project!
Amazing!!
Oh love the Rocky Horror part 🤪
Love it!! I think I’ll try this for 2021. Thanks for sharing.
Great approach! Would love to see a follow-up video of it in action in your display.
Me too!
Will do! You can get a small sneak peek at :11 sec into the little trailer I cut ruclips.net/video/K4C-flY1C_Q/видео.html
I saw it in person tonight, and it's astounding. I came home and started immediately shopping for parts.
@@cessers how many do you have in your setup
@@jrtoy704 I don’t have any. I was agreeing that I’d sure like to see it in their display
