Hello, great information, can you give product recommendations for relaxed hair for the summer and winter❤❤❤
Absolutely! Thanks for watching ❤️ Coming soon.
Finally someone who accurately understands my hair !!! Where are you located?
Thanks for watching! I’m located in Walnut Creek California.
Relaxer put in correctly 👏🏾.
Thank you!!
I agree
Excellent, informative, and thorough tutorial on relaxers 😊
Thank you! 😊 I’m glad it was helpful.
This is such a good accurate description of type 4. I think I’m just going to get a relaxer lol. I noticed when I was blow drying it instead of trying to avoid heat before protective styling the length and integrity of my hair faired better.
Thanks for the feedback!
Relaxed hair takes lot TLC
Hello, I am relaxed and yes i have heard the gamut of all the reasons why I should cut my hair off. Usually from a natural with bleach blonde hair too! This client seemed to have very little new growth to relax, or maybe their natural texture was very loose. When was her last relaxer? The reason a lot of people have damaged relaxed hair are typically relaxing too often and also they are not keeping their hair moisturized especially the ends and strengthened with consistent protein treatments. I trim my hair if it needs it, and by me I mean my stylist, once or maybe twice a year, the same amount of times I relax. You spoke lots of good facts.
Thanks for the feedback. Her hair was heat styled and it was still very straight when she came in, but this client had not had a touch up in 10 weeks. She doesn’t use heat at home so she relaxes her roots around every 10 weeks before coming to me as a new client. Keep the feedback coming. And let me know if you are wanting to see any other types of videos. ❤️❤️
I agree. She could have waited for a bit more growth to relax.
Why not pre section her hair next time?
Thank you for the feedback. I’ll try to make sure I get the complete service in the video so it shows all of my steps. ❤️
Thanks for saying our hair might like its straightened state.idk why this curly cut lady cut my hair all crazy. 😭 It’s different lengths but I’m not cutting it shorter to even it out.
I mean stretched
Curly cut stylists are typically taught to cut the hair in its natural dry state. The main reason for this is to keep the shape of the hair looking balanced when worn naturally curly. This technique doesn’t work well for straight or stretched looks. Thanks for watching 😊
Great review. I bought the line and i really really enjoyed everything. The hydrating shampoo is my absolute fav. But the line is really good
Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised. The line is definitely off to a great start.
Good Afternoon. Where are you located. You did an amazing job.😊
Thank you! I am located in Walnut Creek, 💕💕
what relaxer do you use? in the bay and needing a stylist!
do you use the midprotein step with affirm or offer the sensitive scalp?
Hey! I use Affirm relaxer system.
I'm so sad you are not located near me. The application is flawless and the philosophy is on point. I'm still searching for a stylist that will follow these guidelines. I'm about to go in with my hair already sectioned next time. The last stylist didn't base my scalp and I had my first semi burn.
Oh no!! Thank you for the feedback. I’m a self proclaimed lover of hair, so I do my absolute best to treat all hair with TLC. Maybe try suggesting to your stylist about basing your scalp and bringing in some product for your next touch up. Where are you located?
The hairstyle is so cute!
Thank you!!
The way she positioned her hand while trying to braid her own hair was not optimal for making a good braid or maintaining control of her hair. I think putting both her hands up and over like a ballerina would definitely help.
Thank you! Great suggestion. I’ll make sure to pass it along 💕💕
You indeed show love to your client’s heads.
Thank you! ☺️
❤❤Fantastic video as usual! Love seeing the before, during and after!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Obsessed!! 😍 the curls were absolutely popping!
Ikr!!!!!
❤️❤️
Thank you Monique for this educational video,❤ but can you tell me how to ensure the entire scalp is based and what is best used to accomplish this pre-relaxer stage. Thanks
Heyyy! My bad for the late reply. If you are using an actual scalp basing product, all you need to do is make sure that the partings are no more than 1/2 inch apart. The base should liquify with the natural heat of the scalp. It should spread without effort.
Here is the link for my relaxer base of choice Https://amzn.to/3yyYHCf
What product do you call a a filler to be applied to the length of the hair during the process?
I use the Avlon Affirm Protecto. Here’s the link amzn.to/3QXiFNa
Common sense, profession skill and science! I love it. I relax twice a year as I have a rather loose curl and my stylist uses mild as well. I do a deep protein treatment 2 weeks before Olaplex #2 during relaxer and a deep protein 2 weeks after to maintain the strength. Other than a bi-weekly roller set I do not apply heat, I have a lot of hair and this works great for me and I retain my length. Great job!
Thank you!! I love the maintenance routine that you keep for your hair. This is key for maintaining healthy chemically processed hair and retaining length. Healthy hair, anyway you want to wear it! I love it!!!
A cameo from a unicorn 🦄!! Gorgeous sister!! 🤍🤍
She wouldn’t have it any other way 🤣🤣. Thanks sis!!! 💕💕
What kind of hair did you use ?
Here’s the link for the hair I used in this video amzn.to/4bbbusk
I love how you walked people like me through the process step by step. This is a wonderful tutorial. Thanks
Thank you!! More is on the way ❤️
Oh the curls turned out so cute!!
Thanks Sis!! Please share ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely gorgeous!
😘
Nice work. Where are you located?
Thank you! I’m located in the Bay Area. Walnut Creek CA
I need to know what perm you used on her hair🎉 Beautiful 🎉
Thank you!! I use the relaxer system by Affirm Here’s the link: amzn.to/3WhWfd2
❤ thanks for sharing the knowledge
You are very welcome 😊
I really don’t like stretching my relaxer 🙃 but I would consider my hair more Tex lax because I still have curls somehow
I love relaxed hair that still curls up 😍
What do you think about the revair?
I haven’t tried it
Beautiful! ❤❤Whipping the hair at the end, loved it!
Thank you!!!! ❤️
I also use the RevAir to stretch out my hair.
Is stretching out your hair once every 7-10 days too much? I stretch out on wash days and then twist up my hair until the next wash day which is every 7-10 days.
I don’t think it’s too much, especially if you’re not putting direct heat on your hair and just twisting it up. Make sure you are using a good moisturizer and keeping your ends protected for maximum length retention.
Sis! I love how you support people doing what works best for them and giving them the tools they need to have healthy hair ❤
Yes ma’am! I’m here for healthy hair. It makes my heart smile 😊
Looks amazing ❤
❤️❤️❤️
What a lovely soothing video. Thanks ❤
Thank you!! ❤️
Her hair looks beautiful..u did a great job..👏💙
Thank you ☺️
Even tho these tops are probably true, it hurts my heart to know that 4c hair isnt good enough on its own without burning it straight😩😭
4c Hair is good enough to wear however the person wearing it wants to. That’s straight or in its natural state. Most of my clients come to me for protective styles or straightening when they aren’t rocking their natural curls and coils 💕💕
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! You are the FIRST stylist ever to properly describe the texture of my hair!!! Although my hair is thick, it IS fine! It truly needs tender care when detangling (it will snap!) and rest periods/protective styles. Wish you were in NOLA! 💐💐💐
Thank you!!! Maybe I’ll just have to take a trip ❤️
@@moniquejenebeauty I hope so!!! Please notify, if you do!!!👏👏👏👏
Why blow it out. Keep the curls
She goes back and forth between her natural hair and sew-in extensions
its me Gina how many bundles I need to get
That depends on how long you want the hair. Anything over 18” you should get at least 3 bundles.
The absolute best bundles I’ve ever had!!
Thank you 🙏😘
Where are they from?
Beautiful job Sis. ❤
Thank you ❤️
@@moniquejenebeauty You're welcome Sis.
Beautiful job. ❤
Thank you ❤️
What products were used on hair to prep for blow drying? Thank you! 🙌🌞🌟
I currently like to use the Amika products. The Wizard (detangling primer) and Blockade (heat protector). Both can be found at Sephora 💕💕
@@moniquejenebeauty I Thank you so much! 🙌🌞💜💚✨
