Such a lovely watch! Just subscribed and can’t wait to see more! The things you said about social media just hit so hard for me, since I am going through the same thing. It feels like I’m so obsessed or upset that my posts don’t get very many likes or that they aren’t as successful as other creators. Then I always have to imagine what if those 12 or 50 people came up to me and complimented my work. I’d be so overwhelmed with love! It’s so hard to keep in mind but once it gets through to my brain it’s insane! I’m just starting to edit my first RUclips videos, and wow it is crazy to see all the work that we do as artists and creators that we forget about. I feel like we work so insanely hard and then all is forgotten about the process of creating once we hang the piece on the wall or wear a handmade piece for the first or second time. Amazing video! 💜 ps love your accent, so cute!

Such a cosy video to end this weekend! I'm feeling that decision paralysis so hard right now with the things I'm working on too. A lot of it is a challenge for me and I sometimes feel like I'm going in circles trying to find the "perfect" way to approach things haha. But anyway this was so nicely edited together, keep it up!

This is the exact content I eat up- a wonderful video once again! The prints look so lush 🥰 On your paper/digital topic… Oddly I find it easier to write things out (for work and creatively) on paper first before committing to typing them digitally - sometimes feels counterproductive but for some reason my mind works better that way. So you’re not alone in that little behaviour🤭🩵

Decision paralysis is tricky, perhaps especially for a self employed artist. You want to provide quality of course, but there is an inflection point between quality and time/money investment. While a different context, in programming we have a common industry saying "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good." I think originating from some 1700s philosopher types. I guess the point is, its good to set an ideal goal that is achievable in your head, and you should, but there is no such thing as "perfect" in really anything. Strive to improve upon your last bit by bit, to grow your ability and skill, and accept the imperfections as things to learn and improve upon next time, slowly getting better and better. But don't bog yourself down with a fantasy dream that isn't achievable. Perhaps a better more modern interpretation should be "Dont let perfection be the enemy of progress." The important thing is that you're moving forward and improving. Its a journey of many small steps, enjoy the process and adventure along the way and be proud and recognise the self improvements you make bit by bit to keep you motivated. P.S super jealous of your wonderful studio work space, it looks so inviting and inspiring. I need to invest upon and improve my own work space.
