My trip to an abandoned copper smelter, the production years were 1901 to 1918. The 1 km long, 80 ft tall pile of black slag is actually glass made during the smelting process, they poured silica sand on top of the melted copper to keep the oxygen out and the sand melted and formed into glass, there's traces of copper in the glass and some of it is actually quite beautiful. On my gen 3 I removed the round piece of rubber on the left side tank mount and beat the metal tank mount thing in with a hammer about a quarter inch and now the valve cover pops on and off like nothing put the round piece of rubber back on tank fits fine no problem at all but yeah that piece of metal on the left side of the frame with the rubber on it that you slide the tank over was making it almost impossible to get the valve cover off,a few whacks with a BFH and now there's nothing to it just don't beat it in so much that the tank won't catch the rubber when you put it back on.dont know about gen 1 and 2 never had one but after doing my fjr a few months ago the KLR is nothing.

Would be good if someone screwed flipped over metal guttering onto the roof joists on top of school building to stop them rotting and bringing the whole interior down. Hardwood battens and second hand corrugated roofing iron would give the roof another 80 years of life most likely. It is a pity that no one is likely to do anything to help the building hold together as it looks pretty impressive from the outside. Thought the roof bearers might be metal at first , but it is visible that ones properly covered with roof are timber so ones exposed to the weather will rot and deteriorate. Nice video. Have a good day 😊.
