The Great Northwest is an abundant and giving environment. I will be posting more edible "weeds" as i find them. These invasive white and purple mustards are prolific and tasty, with a kind of spiciness just headed towards horseradish. Yum. And the currant and gooseberry, under some fancy plant name called "ribes" are everywhere as well. Once you know these plants you see them everywhere. Enjoy!

You are correct! I went up Chinook Pass and had an absolutely glorious view of Mt. Rainer. One of my favorite parts of living in Washington is my proximity to strato volcanos (and huckleberries). Thanks for your time and input 🤙

i ended up cooking them with a dove that my friend took with a pellet gun. it was pretty delicious, though i should have thrown the mustard greens in much later, as they lost their spiciness. next time!
