The Somme Tour
This is a compilation of footage taken when on a Landy(landrover Tour) whilst on the Somme, Dave Platt who gave the Tour was Brilliant, if you need to learn History then this is the man on the wars. The sound quality I appologise for,( turn up after music) I used my bike cam to do the footage. I hope that this gives a little insight on what to expect, I can not emphasize enough how invaluable this was, the knowledge and way given was exceptional. If you have seen the Yeoman of the Guard video's on youtube then Dave will be of similar ilk. This film was taken over several hours, and I have given 13mins, What a find.

Video taken whilst doing Demo ride for Associate doing advanced training. Object of training is to "give us time to react" to any hazard. "I did not realise I could enjoy my bike more"(That is normally from bikers who have ridden bikes for some years including track days). Hola. Disculpé pero no dominó el Inglés. yo estuve viviendo en un pueblo Serca de Peronne Biache en la Maisonnette . En aquél lugar la Gerra tubo que ser muy cruel, por las huellas que todavía permanecían en aquél lugar en el año 1962. Me gustaría qué si tienen información poderla compartir

I quite agree, as I stated in review that this was taken more for visual, apologise for sound. It is to give an insight on what and where Dave talks and shows. If you want to go there and follow the footsteps of a relative Dave will put together a portfolio of all information, joining date , brigades manoeuvres and the battles they were in. He also gets permission for private land to be accessed to enable you to be where they fell if one of the unfortunate.
Don’t usually comment on these but without a doubt an absolutely awful tour. Permission from land owner to drive up sunken lane??? I think not! Talk about getting “slotted” and “boom shake the room” finishing up with Queen, we are then champions”...... Could you play a more inappropriate song?? Jesus.

Good point raised Ken, my camera is on pan st 1300 situated on right under mirror. This is 18 inches from centre of bike and has a wide lense. I always give up view when large vehical coming towards me, move to position 2(3 being centre of your lane). Must see driver of vehicle following, more than likely to close and would pull out for look, to late for us if in position4. Many biker have had this problem. Thanks for input and question
Nicely done. Observation; you don't choose to move far if at all for seperation from oncoming. I tend to move laterally to give myself separation from a passing vehicle before moving back onto my line for the view. Any thoughts?
