i'm 5'7 and around 225 pounds. i've always been on the chubbier side because i have lipedema. i started skateboarding a few weeks ago and i've been making a lot of progress :3 it's definitely possible for bigger people to skate and i'm glad that you're bringing attention to the subject!

210cm 130kg . I’m feeling it now. Creaky joints etc. stopped me from skating. Thank you for this video

The older and heavier you get, the more cruising you have to do… I wouldn’t even attempt flip tricks or any of that stuff now, my left ankle is fucked 😂 although I’d love to cruise on one for old times sake maybe a couple of manuals 😅

I'm a heavy skater, (just overweight) 115kg, no excuses, I just like food. I recently started skating in the UK. Fell pretty bad yesterday. Hurt my wrist, my ribs and knee. Listen I'm 32 years 108.862 kilograms and I haven't skated in 15 years decided to come back and you can find reinforced decks that can hold up to 320 pounds and they are not expensive some bamboo with a few layers of carbon fiber does the trick for both longboards and skateboards so weight is not gonna be an issue but like he said it's gonna take a extra work on your end to learn properly again

As a heavier skater (female 5'5 173 pounds) I've been skating since middle school and it's gonna be hard at first because your just starting and it might be a little harder for you since your bigger, but after allot of practive it just comes to you. You are very capable, but I'd still encourage heavier people to try to lose weight just to better yourself and better your health. I'm working on my weight aswell!

i was so sacred to skateboard before watching this, he is so positive, wholesome and just so much more open about big people skateboarding. One thing I would like to add though especially for someone who has never done skateboarding before (me) DO NOT HESITATE to buy high quality protective gear I don't know about other big people but I really do tend fall super hard on my knees. I know you should practice not to but sometimes you get scared and just let go
