Thanks for your demonstration and commentary! I have a 5 weight 9-foot model with a Hatch Plus 4 reel loaded with a WF-5 Airflo Superflo Universal taper and love the performance. I am looking to buy the 10 foot 6 weight to use on the Tongariro River but at present, I am undecided. Would this be a good investment? Sorry I can't buy from you as I'm down-under in NZ, Kind Regards

I fish the 5-weight Centric and a Plus 4 Hatch reel with a Superflo Universal Taper WF-5 and love every minute of it. Im looking at a10' 6-weight for the Tongariro River but haven't had enough advise to take the plunge yet. Any thoughts? Regards from down-under in NZ.

I am currently sitting behind a pair of the Agitator BRS 12 foot 3.25 tc rods. A great rod for the price. I have mine paired with Daiwa Castizm 25 QDA mini-pit reels.

Splendid rods.. and much underrated. I got both 10’ #7 and #8 super stream and small river rods for Seatrout and Salmon.. pure casting machines. Cast well with Guideline ULS heads (16g for #7 and 18g for #8)

The Ultraclick is interesting - as you pointed out, Hardy have designed these for light stream fishing. However, I bought one for ultralight hiking because it's the lightest full-frame wide-arbour reel available (70g in the 5000 size), which makes easy work of my 5-wt rod and line, and who needs a full drag for wild UK trout fishing? It's a fly-fishing backpacker's dream come true - thanks Hardy!

Isn't that volantis lin #6 weight the equivalent of a standard eight weight? Love Scott rods and looking at the 9ft 6 inch #6 and the right and a half four weight.

i put a row of beer at the bottom. half pack of ice another row of beer the other half of ice then i pit half row of water half row of juice then half bag of ice and rhen i have the fruit on one side on top and the wine on the other half.. everyone is happy.. beer/water/juice/wine/fruit

Great review, very helpful.

I don't "pre chill" my individual water bottles or ice tea. I freeze them. More ice for the chest, then I pull them out to thaw one or two at a time.
