Is this an old video? I flew this airplane from Livermore California to Lubbock Texas just over a year ago when a local flight school bought it. The airplane has since had avionics upgrades. So I dont know how this was uploaded 3 days ago it looks totally different now 😂
Hi, Yes, from a couple of years ago. I owned 42L for 20 years here in CA. My ex partner sold it (through American Aircraft Sales) to you. I check in on it every now and then. I see it's a training plane now and you left my Grateful Dead sticker on the panel :) Anyways, hope it's working out for you, I had a lot fun with it. I'm in another PA28180 now.
@ thats cool to hear. I never worked at the flight school I just flew it back for them. I went back a few days later and I was amazed in one weekend they had the new panel in and were test flying it.
Wow, that was quick!
Who do we have to thank for the soundtrack? Sounds sick
Thanks, that's "Kingfish" w/ Bob Weir
Ah, the practice area memories, Bob! Great footage. I remember practicing power on and power off stalls, and when I pulled back on the yoke, my seat slid all the way back, and my hands and feet came off of the controls. I'll never forget that!
That was a surprise!
@PilotBob2008 Yes! Thankfully, I have long legs (I'm 6'4") and managed to get my right foot behind the right pedal by popping open the pilots' window in my Cherokee (N303GS) and grabbing the sill to pull myself forward with my left hand, while pulling up on the seat lever with my right hand until I could hook my right foot behind the rudder pedal and use my leg to pull me forward enough to lock my seat into place and get my hands and feet back onto the controls. The entire incident took only a few seconds, but during that time, I had dropped from 6000 ft. to around 4000 ft, my airplane spinning downward tail first because of my then 283 lb. body shifting so far aft. After that incident, I penciled in "Seat(s) locked and secured" on my checklist. Afterward, I related my incident to the flying club owner. All of the checklists for all of our airplanes subsequently had the seat check added.
@@nathanwildthorn6919 Dang, glad that ended well !!
And, don't forget those antenna's! Great music, BTW.
Thanks, can't miss 'em. The music is Kingfish w/ Bob Weir
One way or another!
Nobody's fault but mine :)
Omg he's got the dead jamming in the background! Took me two notes to realize that was father Jerry lol....
You know it!
I remember many of these days when I had a Cherokee 140 there in the early '80's. Seemed like it was hardly ever calm, and NEVER down the runway!! Gnoss makes great crosswind pilots though!
Ya, the wind can be pretty lively there!
Thanks!! I had my Cherokee 140 at Gnoss in the early 80's, and that brought back great memories!!
Looking for footage of what I believe was the first philharmonia the holiday sing along at maritime hall
Non-current private pilot here. It's almost ten years later since your flight but I enjoyed the video. I've lived most of my life on the east coast, although 4 years in southern California. My sister used to live in Santa Rosa and after many visits Sonoma County became my favorite region in California. Evening flight over Wine Country; soothes the soul. And the Dead sticker was nice too.
Barry and Pete, locked in!
What a gorgeous woman! And she knows how to move.
very nice
That night was a hot one.
Never mind I’ll Find- *SOMEONE LIKE YOU!!!* Any Ways Good Vid!
nice!
Used out of KLVK a lot and over those farms. Good memories!
A beautiful song in a magical place. Many Mahalos for sharing the video with us . Hope to see you back on Maui next time . Aloha
Gnoss is KDVO
I was on the shilo 2 wind project here and it was definitely a fun job!
good stuff Bob keep em coming
Very cool. How often do you fly?
It looks way better from above than below lol.
You were 40 feet off on your altitude
cooool video effects! and a good song to catch.... these all-stars sounded great. it's neat to glance at the audience--- fun peeps on the rail :) thanks, pilotbob!
Thanks, that was the only part I videoed.
Any chance you got a recording of coles law or stella blue from that show? If you did, any chance you could post them? MANY thanks!!!
Awesome!
We left before they went electric. The vibe was challenging for me (old school.) I don't understand how some can be as unconscious as some are... especially folks that go to the trouble of showing up at these gigs. I give it to Bobby for being as patient as he is, but I think last night tested him too! On a brighter note, I was glad that I was there and was reminded of his great talent. So much dynamics and plenty of texture! Really a masterpiece!
I saw me :)
he such a pretty rabbit love the color
Great, I'll look forward to them.
Hi there. I am a pilot out of Gnoss too and stumbled across your channel. I have subscribed. I just got a nice camera and audio adapter for the intercom and will be posting videos soon too. Hope you will watch them.
Awesome as always!! Pete you make that bass part of you! Peace
Nice. Loved the comment!
Nice recovery by Barry after that broken string!
