    so there are many applications of Raman spectroscopy.

    • @FuturePhotonics
      @FuturePhotonics 10 дней назад

      Raman spectroscopy is used to identify materials by shining light on them and analyzing the response. It’s useful in medicine, drug testing, environmental monitoring, art restoration, and forensics because it provides quick, non-damaging results.

    Could you please explain more about the raman spectroscopy?

    • @FuturePhotonics
      @FuturePhotonics 10 дней назад

      Raman spectroscopy is a method to identify materials by shining a laser on them. The light interacts with the material’s molecules, creating a unique “fingerprint” that tells scientists what it’s made of. It’s quick, doesn’t damage samples, and is useful in medicine, environmental testing, art, and forensics.

    Are there other ways to make objects transparent?

    • @FuturePhotonics
      @FuturePhotonics 10 дней назад

      Optical cloaking makes objects look invisible by bending light around them. Some ways to do this are: 1. Metamaterials: Special materials that hide objects by bending light. 2. Transformation Optics: Redirects light so the object doesn’t show up. 3. Scattering Cancellation: Blends objects with the background by canceling reflected light. These methods trick our eyes to make things look transparent!

    • @FuturePhotonics
      @FuturePhotonics 10 дней назад

      Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a therapy that uses light to help the body heal and reduce pain. By shining low-level light on the skin, PBM boosts cell activity, helping to repair tissue and decrease inflammation. It's used in pain relief, wound healing, and skin care.

    • @FuturePhotonics
      @FuturePhotonics 12 дней назад

      It’s amazing, isn’t it? We’re making progress, but we’re not quite at full weather control yet. Lasers can help a bit, like making rain easier to form when the air is humid. But there’s still a lot to figure out before we can actually control the weather!

    • @bororobo3805
      @bororobo3805 2 часа назад

      You need to be in the sky to do that. At close range with the cloud. Otherwise you'll need a lot of power for the laser to reach the clouds. Inverse square law

    • @FuturePhotonics
      @FuturePhotonics Час назад

      Great point! You’re absolutely right that the laser would need to be near the clouds to have the strongest effect, and the inverse square law highlights how power requirements can become enormous when a laser has to cover long distances. While launching a laser from the ground presents challenges due to energy loss over distance, current research explores ways to focus energy more efficiently through advanced optics or phased laser arrays. Additionally, innovative approaches like high-altitude platforms-such as flying laser-equipped drones or weather-modifying balloons-could bring the laser closer to the clouds. These ideas, alongside potential advancements in ground-based laser technology, may help address some of these hurdles in the future.

      @@FuturePhotonics How high do we need?

    • @FuturePhotonics
      @FuturePhotonics 12 дней назад

      The lasers need to be extremely powerful, often in the range of terawatts (1 trillion watts) to form tiny water droplets by ionizing the air. This level of power can generate the energy needed to create “plasma filaments” in humid air, which can help water molecules cluster and eventually form droplets. It’s a cutting-edge area of research with huge potential!

    • @FuturePhotonics

      You're right! Li-Fi can't go through walls, but using repeaters can help. Repeaters catch the light signal and send it further, allowing the Li-Fi signal to reach more areas. By placing repeaters in the right spots, we can extend the signal around walls and obstacles, making Li-Fi useful even in tough situations.
