Why women should have regular cervical smears

Why women should have regular cervical smears
thx
thank u
thank u
Had my biopsy a couple of days ago, it wasn’t as uncomfortable as i expected. Suppose we’re all different
Another doctor downplaying the pain that uterine biopsies and hysteroscopies cause. If the medical community wants women to seek gynecological care, then they have to address the lack of analgesia provided for these procedures. Many women have been traumatized during these procedures due to doctors believing these procedures only cause minimal cramping. Women need to INSIST they receive adequate analgesia before these procedures are started, or at least insist that the doctor stop the procedure if the patient is obviously in pain.
Very informative. Thank you❤
I was told I had CIN1 precancerous cervix. 54 year old women. Is this something that returns?
Yes, it can do. However, not something to worry about too much as long as it is low grade, ie, CIN 1. More often then not, it is usual that it never went away in the first place. Often the previous smear that was "normal" just failed to pick up the mild abnormality. Hence the abnormality is grumbling on at the low grade end. As long as it is not progressing then not to worry about it but certainly keep having regular smears to ensure it is not progressing.
@@gynaecologymatters3425 Thank you. Got worried with this news today. Thank you.
Very clearly explained. Thank you.
I’m 46 went for Pap Test Abnormal Cells I had to do a D&C hysterscopy procedure waiting for my results I’m so scared out of mind of getting cancer🥲🥲🥲🥲
My sister was in her 60s and had heavy post menopausal bleeding FOR YEARS. I begged, pleaded, cried for her to go get it checked. She was even anemic (fainted on street, ambulance called so she had bloodwork). She never went to gyn or any other doc. I couldn't get her to go, even said I'd go too for my annual pap/exam. BEGGED HER. Bottom line - She died at 67, in FRONT OF ME at home, hemorrhaging from her nose and mouth. Ambulance couldnt do anything. Who knows what it was - she had been constipated for 2 weeks. Again, I couldn't get her to go to doc. This was right in middle of first covid. Gynecological cancer spread?? I'll never know. I also will never forgive myself for not just forcing her to go...but how could I? Please please don't be afraid to go get checked. It killed her. She was very obese and I def know that her shame had something to do with this. I am heartbroken and traumatized even now. Please care for yourselves. I miss my older sister so much. Thank you for this educational vid.
It's basically doctors telling you they suspect cancer and want to run a bunch of expensive tests
Thank you❤ newly diagnosed 😢
How are you
Excellent video...thank you.
Full information in a single video that to also with proper depth Thank you Dr you are such a wonderful human being
Thank you so much Doctor 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for the Video, Doctor. Very helpful. The Lord bless
You have a lovely voice
Why does, often the colposcopy show CIN3 and the following leep show invasive cancer? Why doesn't the colposcopy show the cancer?
Thank you! Getting my results from MRI + CT/PET scan tomorrow morning and I am terrified but hopefully one of these treatments will work for me, if I am able to have treatment. Thank you so much for these videos.
Thank you again for these, recently diagnosed with cancer and it helps my mind learning as much as possible now.
Thank you so much for these videos.
I was diagnosed with abnormal cells CIN1 but #drsani cured me.
Load of crap. Hurts like hell! After my experience, I’ll never go back for a pap or anything. Women need more respect, care and pain relief. I think women who sugar coat it for other women are perpetuating the situation. I feel so betrayed.
Thank you for this, I haven’t had a period for well over two years and yesterday boom!!!….A period and heavy too, I have been put off from Dr’s so haven’t seen a gp for over 3yrs. I guess it’s something I need to get checked 😩🙁.
Thank you. Very informative. I really like your calm demeanour in these vides, it helps me to take in the information in a calm manner too.
Excellent explanat8on and very helpful.
Thank you so much for this excellent video. I am going to a post menopausal bleed clinic next week and had no idea of what to expect. This now gives me an idea of what will be going to happen. I spent ages trying to find this out scolling through various youtube videos and none of them helped me until this so thank you so much.
I’m waiting for a referral how did you get on I’m dreading the procedure
@@irene1182 It was ok in the end, but I know just how awful that wait can be. I had a the trasvaginal scan which was OK but the hysteteroscopy was quite bad for me. Seems I had a tight cervix as Im 70 and have not given birth so think that made it worse. I think if you don't fall into those categories it won't be as difficult as mine was although there's alway the option of having the hysteteroscopy as a day case and you will be asleep, although they probably won't tell you this. Unfortunately I was sent 2 results letter, one saying I'd had a polyp removed but on talking to the hospital I found out that was a mistake!!!! The second letter said my biopsy was inconclusive, but that there was no cause for concern. I do hope your outcome will be good. Try not to worry as most of the time they are obliged to follow you up just in case. Good luck
Thanks Dr.God bless you for this interesting topic.
