One of the best pleasures of visiting Trude is a family cook-out. She raised a couple of very fine girls, Rachel and Erica, both now full grown women, and Rachel has a daughter of her own. Call me sexist if you want, but I find this scene of all the girls working together in the kitchen very charming.

Wow I cannot believe this video was taken nearly 12 years ago. I see the Bald Eagle, Jesus, American Flag, and the Alpo Can some of my childhood favorite special shape balloons growing up here in Albuquerque that are no longer attendees. Ahhhhh sweet childhood memories!

So much better than the Bristol Balloon Fiesta that takes place in the UK.
When I was little...We'd go down to the balloon field and we'd go look at the chili balloon. But my fav was the cow. LOL I even dubbed her my cow :P I haven't been back in a few years. But me and a couple buddies are thinking about going this year. Very fun ^_^
We go to the Balloon Festival in Provo, UT every year. I think it would be fun to go to the one in Albuguerque some time. Thanks for sharing that with us. I served as a missionary in New Mexico and my last area was Rio Rancho, which isn't that far from where the Balloon Festival is at.
