Unconscious Mind designer interview | Essen Spiel 2023
Fantasia Games was demoing its upcoming board game Unconscious Mind at Essen Spiel 2023 and we got the chance to talk to Laskas, one of the designers of the game. Unconscious Mind is a board game based on the studies of Sigmund Freud that combines multiple mechanics like rondel and worker placement into a very crunchy, thematic eurogame.

Subscribed. This set got really overshadowed in my opinion. I mean we had duskmourn and the marvel release. New bans and I think we didn't get to really spend much time with it.
@@joshsmith6955 yep, feels like Wizards just didn't care much about Bloomburrow and it's such a fun set, legitimately a bunch of us back into mtg
@Boar_Gamer I agree it's like they had their sites on duskmourn and foundations. This was just a stepping stone to them. I think a lot of players like bloomburrow. Some really great cards .

How is the gameplay? Would you rate it higher / lower than Cascadia, calico etc?
It is very much alike Galaxy Trucker, as in real time grab for tiles. Then, you also put them around the board (racing against the clock) following certain rules like no same types of articles touching. I really like it, played it tons. Has a lot of replay value due to Editor deck and various bonuses you pick up each round that change how you want to play.
