The reason the majority of the plant workers continue to just follow orders even though they know there's no core, is cause this us happening during the Soviet Era (USSR). Where you're not really allowed to question the "state"/"system". The reason Dyatlov doesn't acknowledge that there's no core, is sort of a 2 parter. The state has said that the design of the RBMK reactors is safe, snd there's no way for it to explode (so not questioning the state). Second reason is that he doesn't believe he did anything wrong, and doesn't want to take the blame for a disaster. So he's doing everything (now) by the book. There's technically another reason...but don't want to spoil the series for anyone.

This episode confused the hmm out of me too. lol. Good theories though. But you should know that Ymir (Historia's lover) is not really named Ymir. She was given that name by the "cult" so that she can pretend to be royal/founder Ymir so they can worship her. Maybe you forgot how Eren said why he thinks he was able to use the founder's power to control the titans. You said interesting but didn't discuss it after so maybe you forgot. And they definitely say how beast, reiner etc would have gotten their titans in the previous episode. Maybe you found out by now. It's hard to pick up all the info, even in english. Part of the movie theme is that upward social mobility doesn't happen and talent and effort for the poor doesn't make a difference so it wouldn't make sense for Kevin to ever get the money to buy that house. The previous housekeeper and her husband weren't running from debt collectors, they were running from loan sharks. It's implied that they beat her up when she returned that night. Also, she was a live-in housekeeper so she probably didn't have her own home. The reason the husband lived in the basement was because the loan sharks were still after them. Near the end, the reason Mr. Park got angry when when Mr. Kim asked about him loving his wife is because he "crossed the line" by asking a personal question. Mr. Park talked freely about personal matters with Mr. Kim because not "crossing the line" only goes one-way.

They never specifically explain where Eren Kruger got his titan powers. But if you remember they said 7 out of 9 titans were taken to Marley's side (Female, Armored, Colossal, Beast, "Duck Titan" you saw, Ymir's titan she stole from Reiner's friend and last one we don't know). The 2 remaining titans are Founding, who was the king and Attack Titan. So as far as Marley knows there are 2 titans outside of their control, they don't know where specifically. Probably Attack titan was hiding within Marley fighting for Eldia's freedom and was passed to Eren Kruger because he was on their side. Whatever Eren did in 2nd season is a loophole, he used the power of the king when he touched a Titan with royal blood for a second. It has never happened before and I am sure not many knew that. So far, from what Reiner and Berthold knew, 1) you are royal blood, have founding titan, get peaceful mind of your ancestor and don't fight, 2) you are normal person and can't use the powers, they way Eren didn't use the power before. And then they see a normal guy, Eren, who they know is not a royal blood and he suddenly uses king's power. Nobody knows Dina is a royal family member. Only Owl, Grisha and now Eren know that. SO for Reiner's team, Eren is a miracle and a bad one. Not only he is not peaceful, he is revengeful and he has king power to destroy them

29:11 If Zeke got the Beast Titan when he was a baby, he would have died at age 13. go back to the previous episode. They show Marley recruiting Eldians for their *warrior* program. Reiner's one of those warriors. 24:38 "I don't know what this scene is." That's Ymir about to be eaten by someone who is going to be injected and turned into a pure titan. Both Eldia and Marley use the same kind of sacrificial "altar" to hold people still so the new pure titan can easily eat them. I doubt Ymir was anywhere near the end of her 13 years, btw. They just wanted her power transferred to someone loyal (and who knows how to use it) 6:40 Why didn't Krueger save more people? They don't say why in the anime. I'm guessing he wanted as few people as possible to know what was happening. (3 people can keep a secret if two of them are dead) Playing for the highest stakes and he was taking no chances.

A point you missed from watching the dubs : the name of this episode in japanese is "Shingeki No Kyojin". So the (japanese) title can be translated as both "Attack On Titan" or "Attack Titan".

King reice’s father wasnt the king that fled. Somewhere it says “80 years ago the king erected 3 walls.” and his father was not that old. It was probably his grandfather or great grandfather. In present time, its 100 years ago, so this episode mainly takes place 20 years ago.

ymir fritz mentioned in this episode, the founder, is not the same ymir from the other seasons. In ymirs backstory, it shows that she was taken in to a cult and they forced her to pretend to be the reincarnation of ymir fritz.

I liked that you rewatched and I suggest rewatching these episodes anyway as there is a lot to take in. They mentioned that the Marlyans recruited Eldians to be the titans to fight for them. So they are not descendants but specially picked warriors. I saw a theory that the way the intelligent titans need to have a goal in mind to transform, that when eldians are transformed into pure titans if they had a particular goal in mind, they might actually follow it and that's why Dina came to Eren's house for Grisha. And why the titan in Iles Notebook behaved strangely and why there may be abnormals in general. And a side joke that some were probably drunk and that's why they walk in those funny ways. lol. Just a theory though. Thanks for reacting.

YOOO IM HYPED YALL ARE DOING SOME OF IT DUBBED!! Theres a great video that compares the best speeches/moments in sub vs dub and its great. Sub is still amazing I know but dub has some wins. I wouldnt recommend checking that video out until all of aot is finished though

It's a HUGE island. just the area within the walls is bigger than texas. It's possible the map has the scale of the island wrong. I think the writer didn't calc the area within the walls and wound up putting it on an island that's actually smaller that the area in the walls. You'll see a bigger map later in the series and might figure out what island that is. Reiner is of the Eldian RACE and a warrior of the Marley NATION. Armin learned about the ocean from the old book, not from his parents. Most of the Eldian conspirators you'll recognize as a titan from s1. Yes, that was Santa titan that swallowed Eren. Here's one that was prominent as it caught and ate one of Eren's team. 16:19

All the characters we have seen this far are Eldians. The only Marleyans you have seen are police that arrested Ymir in her backstory. And they threw her from that same wall as a pure titan. So all pure titans we have seen are just Eldian prisoners of Marley who they punished. Also the injection is a titan spinal fluid. So when they take spinal fluid of 3-4 meters, it probably creates similar titan. Also if you didn’t get it, Eldians only turn into titans. Marleyans even with injection won’t turn The king that fled was 108 years ago, it was probably great grandfather of Rod Reiss.

Switching to dub for these episodes so that you "don't miss anything" is a tragedy. Who the fuck suggests to do that
