This may be rng, however, my luk char seems to have more frequent failures after a maintenance. Shrug

How I Refine Equipment You need a character at least level 200 to unlock tier 4 smith skills (Expert's Refinement). You need a char. with 255 TEC stat and all refinement skills at level 10 (40 skill points). you need a char. with 255 LUK stat and 1 skill point in Refine Equipment skill. Using your TEC char., refine your equipment to about 1k refinement points using only mithril ore. This gives 7 - 8% bonus chance of success when refining to +A and +S. Refinement points are generated by refining and can be seen in the eq. description next to the refinement level. It doesn't matter if it fails in this step. This takes about 40 minutes and uses about 2.3 stacks of mithril ore. Once you reach about 1k refinement points, get your eq. to +B. You can use mithril ore only to reach +B, but it takes more time. I did it differently in the video, but it cost more spina. Once you reach +B, switch to your LUK character. Using mithril ore and anti-degredation, refine to +S. If the refinement level drops to below +B, switch to TEC char. and get it back to +B then continue with LUK char. The entire process takes about an hour. Mithril ore is used because it is cheap and easy to get.

I tried 2hs against bubble angels, but eventually ran out of HP. Staff worked well on angels, despite being hit by my target, but I have 100% ailment resist. Others might get interrupts. This combo only works for solo farming.
