    I never did update you all on this situation! I collected all evidence of Greg’s incompetence and negligence over the 5 month period, wrote up a demand letter, and wrote him a 1-star Yelp review. I was fully prepared to sue him in small claims court for the engine damages. I also told him that if he chooses to pay for all damages to be completed by another mechanic, I will remove the 1-star review (which laid out all of the facts, no emotions involved, but these facts would have really impacted his business!). Well, he called me immediately after receiving the demand letter and review, took responsibility again, apologized profusely, told me he fired the new tech who had been the one doing the work on my van, and cut me a check for $3,500. Whether this is because Greg truly does have integrity or whether it’s because he didn’t want the negative impact to his business or the hassle of court, I don’t know. Either way, I was relieved. The other, trustworthy mechanic repaired my engine and I didn’t have to pay a thing. My van has been running smoothly ever since! 💚

    I could say a LOT of things about " Greg " and his supposed "tech's " . But it is clear that he is either a liar , or his " tech's " know shit about brakes and AC repair . The gauges for testing the AC system will tell you if it is working right , plus . A GOOD AC mech will evacuate all the refrigerant in the system and refill with the proper MEASURED amount of refrigerant , using a scale . Then do testing with AC gauges . Sounds like Greg was wanting a higher price repair by hoping you warp the rotors with such thin pads . You cannot be sued by him if you ONLY tell the truth about your experience with Greg . His SHOP name needs to be known by the locals are him . Sounds like he only offered the FREE pads and rotors , AFTER his scheme was caught by an honest shop !! Be safe out there !

    Another fun one, I like your music and where you put it. It's wonderful that you captured this whole experience, and it's on video for at least a lifetime, possibly many lifetimes. When you put yourself out there you get rewarded with awesomeness, an objective truth. In the moment of your euphoria, you get a warning shot from Mother Nature, no words can describe that feeling, your eyes said it all. That was absolutely amazing! I believe that lightning strike was caused by you. I wonder if there were more strikes nearby? You didn't mention it and I never heard any? If you didn't have your helmet on you probably would have been warned by your hair being yanked out of your head. I was struck on top of Mt Zirkel. A small cloud shows up out of thin air and zapped my ass, it was amazing for so many reasons. From my experience, nothing can humble you and make you feel more insignificant than Mother Nature, maybe especially the beautiful lightning. How incredible your body assisted you by not requiring you to stop and eat, must have been a big apple:) It is so loose up there in the Wilson group I didn't find those peaks to be all that enjoyable. You checked off a couple doozies for sure. Bring your A game to Little Bear, I'm looking forward to that show. Some mystery behind the scenes here; you mentioned the El Diente traverse in the Capital video, but this one came out after that one. Stay awesome my friend!

    • @Kelly_Explores
      @Kelly_Explores Месяц назад

      Wow, I didn’t even think about the lightning strike being caused by me. Me, and all of the metal I had on me. It was a single strike, none followed. I thought it was over for me in that moment, I felt like I was just WAITING for another strike to hit me. It was an insane feeling. I had the same thoughts about my hair… that could’ve been my warning sign. Okay, that is insane to hear that you’ve been struck. I can’t even begin to imagine what that felt like. I need more details! So I did these two before Capitol but just didn’t upload this video until afterwards 🙂 I hear Little Bear is right up there with Capitol and I’ve heard some say it’s worse! And that "way" is your authentic passion for adventure in the true sense of the word. You were gifted the most beautiful day, and to have the summit to yourself is so memorable too. The mountain has the ultimate say. However, you stacked the deck with courage, preparation, and good judgment. The good news is that you can always go around it for a class 3, and if you’re taller than me (5’2 lol), I think you’re naturally going to have an easier time if you choose to summit it. I felt I was really at a disadvantage as I struggled to reach the handholds and footholds. Let me know how it goes for you! You’ve got this!
