Nowhere Man and All My Loving are not ballads and should not have been on that album. Till There Was You was not written by The Beatles. Rocky Racoon, Goodnight, Julia, This Boy, If I Fell, and Long, Long, Long, would have been better choices.

Beautiful album , brought it when I was in early teens . Brings back so many happy memories even though songs are a little sad.

Sorry, but absolutely terrible! Have you ever opened a vinyl LP, or handled vinyl records? I really wanted to like this, but watching what appears to be an absolute struggle was a bit much. Thanks for the attempt.

TY so much, I have the other 2.. but when I just went to buy the 3rd one, the seller's ad said the D'angeloni... or something like that, pamphlet was missing.. and because of watching this, I know what it is, & for me, it's to important of a piece to be missing.. so thank-you very much... It was only $5/$8 $$ cheaper but again, to me, it's worth the 5/8 bucks to have that thin little pamphlet... we all know how weird we collector's can be... lol, ..thanks again bud!

I like the write-up on the back of the EP cover by Tony Barrow. References to the future year, 1973. 1973 was the year the Red and Blue sets were released. But that message was written early in 1963.

How does it sound?

Betting at least one disc is dishwarped.

Released 14 Oct 1980 meaning it was the last Beatles compilation album released in John Lennons lifetime before his death in dec 1980. As far as I remember the 4 Beatles never seemed to comment much on their songs being repackaged on comp albums in the 70s. Ringo said he never liked the rock and roll music cover but the other 3 never seemed to make comments good or bad about those albums. Also think Beatle ballads is the best ever cover on their comp albums.

Cutting out Pete Best's face in the album cover design was just poor form. I know Klaus Vorrmann designed it but the surviving Beatles could have over-ruled it. I suspect though they probably wanted Pete's face cut out ..

I have this album. I've had it since I was about 14. I love every song on this album. I wore the grooves off playing it over and over and over.

That second record (with the Apple label) - Not much runout there. I'd be concerned about inner groove distortion.
