Really hope you’ve seen the old town and the real Belgrade. The fortress, Saint Sava Cathedral, Republic Square, Knez Mihailova street… Seems like you’ve only hanged around a parking lot in the construction site of Belgrade Waterfront, which is a nice modern project, but has absolutely nothing to do with the real image of historical Belgrade. Been there a few times now. It’s a city that has so much to offer for tourists.
We were disappointed that we didnt make it to the fortress and as you say were a bit restricted in our movements. And I agree we should have seen more. As we didnt expect to go to Belgrade at all we were pleased to have visited it and enjoyed our stay.

My dogs like to bark but are not often on their own. Lake Salda was amazing and it is likely we were on the Lake filming very early in the morning.
