Help me configure my dream car - 2024 Porsche GT3RS
I am extremely excited to share that I received a May allocation for a 2024 Porsche GT3RS. I have contemplated many color combinations as well as options have been added and removed as I contemplate on the best designed GT3RS to hit the US next year. I made this video to share my thought process thus far but am excited to also hear your thoughts and how you would configure the GT3RS.

How to drive a manual car (let's learn in a Porsche GT3)
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.Год назад
When I was first learning to drive a manual (stick shift) car when I was in high school, there were certain things I wish I was told which would've helped me learn quicker. My very first car was a stick shift VW and driving around the streets of Brooklyn, NY were intimidating because if you don't drive once the light turns green, the person behind you is honking their horn instantly. Regardless...
How to Check Oil - 992 Porsche GT3 ( Porsche 911)

The manual isn't super clear when it comes to checking the oil on the 992 generation of the Porsche 911. I created a short video to help you figure it out incase you're struggling. Actual checking of oil starts at 45 seconds

992 Porsche 911 / Porsche GT3 clear side marker installation - how to DIY
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.2 года назад
Swapping out the stock side markers on your 992 Porsche 911 is very easy and takes no more than 5-10 minutes. You can purchase your side markers for less than $140 for the set from @SuncoastPorscheParts Using the following link: www.suncoastparts.com/product/PKCLEAR992.html
did you reprogram the ECU as turning off sport “rev match” downgrades your power throttle response
Thanks for the video, now please send me the porsche gt3
🤣 unfortunately I pre-traded it for a different vehicle that I won’t have for a few more months.
What was wrong with the orange side markers?
Nothing, they worked fine I just wanted to remove the orange for a nicer aesthetic
Thank you so much. It’s not in the manual, and not in the digital manual. I have searched the Porsche Club GB forums - nothing. They only tell you how much to put in if it’s low. My car has done 13k miles and has had oil changed every 5k. It hasn’t used a drop of oil since it was new and I was really beginning to worry. Thank you again. David
Yeah, I posted this video because it was hard to find exactly how to do it. The manual gives some insight as to when you get to the screen but I had to search myself. Glad it was helpful!
want to get a GT3 sometime this year, unsure whether to pick manual or auto though....
Hey @evdge, if you want speed and are shooting for track records, go with PDK, if you’d like to enjoy the car of casual drives (which some will hate on and say you should be taking to track), get manual. That’s my opinion though. I loved the manual!
@@finegears great answer! thanks 👍
Nice video👍🏽 I would love to do these shots, but after watching reviews I think that the super expensive Insta360 three suction cup car mount, for 450€!, is the most stable and only way to go🤷♀️ Your setup looks quite flimsy, compared to the newer systems😉, how does it hold up? What max speed can you drive, before the stick will lower itself in the ball joint? Can u drift with this setup?😬
Sorry for the delay, I haven’t drifted with the mount but I did hit 3 digit speeds and it was fine. I trusted the suction cup because RAM is a great brand and at the time, there was only one other option that I tried and felt the suction wasn’t as strong. Now with these other options on the market, I will say, I’d spend the additional money would be worth the piece of mind
Nice video :) Imho you should put your hands at 9 and 3 o'clock on the steering wheel, and always keep them there(!)... no "moving around" on the steering wheel, just full control;)
Thanks @9t64! I agree, not an excuse, I was just trying to keep my arm from blocking the camera. Should’ve taken more time to set it up prior and avoided that issue
@@finegears Yes, I experimented a lot with cam positions, it should in the line of sight, so basically on the line between your eyes and the bottom of the windscreen, so the height of the cam should be somewhere on that line, I hope u get what I mean. Also a 360 cam inside in the front corner of the windscreen is cool, I use middle of the cage, at the head/helmet and also nice is the cam outside of the car on the left rear window facing forward on the line of sight, driver door window open, then you can the work at the wheel and the street rushing through, looks quicker 😉 On the track you have to keep the windows closed for safety reasons, unfortunately 🤷♀️
Man I got 13k miles on my 992 and never touched that scroll button damn!
Haha
Congratulations beautiful car I ordered my one is yellow racing yellow with black wheels God bless
Awesome! Has yours arrived yet? Mine kept getting pushed
Love
Great spec!! I'd probably go either South Sea Blue Metallic or Nordic Gold Metallic over the bright silver wheels.
I did considered Nordic Gold Metallic - I may have to circle back to it. Thank you
Congrats 🎊🍾
Yes!
I still have my first to second gear shifts a little jerky, is that normal. I have a 718 Spyder
The 718 spyder is a beautiful car, congratulations! My assumption is that you’re not giving it enough gas before letting out on the clutch, which is causing the jerkiness. To help rule some things out, try this and let me know how it worked so we can troubleshoot: Get the car moving in first gear to about 15 mph. Step on the clutch and hold the clutch in while applying the gas to get the engine speed to roughly 2200 RPMs. Let out the clutch in a smooth motion and proceed as normal. Let me know how this works for you and we can continue to discuss to get you driving the spyder extremely smooth
Thank you so much for the quick reply! I’m very appreciative of your tips 🤝 I’m super smooth from second gear onwards, and I’ll try what you just mentioned for sure. Btw, I noticed a very positive difference between my old 1990’s manuals and this one. If I let her idle in first she never stalls or shuts off. That’s so helpful in stop and go traffic. In my old cars the car would shut off unless I had my foot in the clutch. Is this normal and won’t it hurt the car? I use this a lot in parking garages and slow driving as well, where I just let her roll with no gas or clutch input
@@SC-xy7cn having the car in neutral idling should not hurt the car. You're totally fine to do this. In fact, I've had older cars as well and they didn't stall when idling so there was probably something wrong with your 90's car which caused the engine to idle too slowly or some sort of friction when the clutch was out. In any event, let me know if your shifts are getting smoother!
Nice video, what about parallel parking :D? You should do more videos with porsche :))
@auguststas7770 Growing up in Brooklyn, I may be able to parallel park ;) When I have some time, I'll get a video up. Since I now live in the burbs, I just have to find a place or drive into the city haha
Nice GMT Master!
I d like 1 very please
update: I CAN DRIVE A MANUAL CAR, THANK YOU SO MUCH PORSHE GUY, VROOMM VROMMM 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad to hear you're able to drive manual! 🎉
The manual CLEARLY states that the engine is to be at operating temperature and STOPPED OFF FOR AT LEAST ONE MINUTE.
Great job man! Could it be possible to continue to fix a camera on the pedalbox for next driving videos please? :)
Love the video! Now teach me how to start a business/make enough money to buy a manual GT3! :)
gt3 a beauty. you have to do a vid on the track!
Good stuff ‼️
how to drive manual, directly in gt3 hahhaha isnt that funny, banger
hey great video , very understandable ! can you make a video in depth about rev matching please, next week i will attend to driving school for the first time and yeah I'm gonna drive a manual car. sending loves from Malaysia 🇲🇾❤️❤️❤️
Hi @seasonalhat, hopefully this video was helpful to get you comfortable with getting a manual car moving. I should have some time this weekend to put a video together about rev matching and down shifting. Just remember to keep it simple and learn one thing at a time. 1) get the car rolling and stopping 2) rev matching for shifting gears 3) down shifting. Practice a lot and you'll be great in no time. I've been to Malaysia once visiting a company I work with out there in KL. My friend was driving me around in his manual BMW the entire time and look forward to seeing you on the road one day out there!
@seasonalhat I put a quick video together based on your request. Let me know if this is helpful. Rev Matching: Driving a manual car (Porsche GT3) part 2 ruclips.net/video/4XtBab0sM7Q/видео.html
Wouldn't trust this set up without a center support brace. The ball mount on that Delkin is under A LOT of pressure and WILL snap (just a matter of time).
Everybody hates your car in that neighborhood
Yeah when everyone hears your loud car it just makes their day. What a special little guy.
What car is that
It's a Porsche 911 GT3
I assure you, NOBODY in the neighborhood enjoys hearing that sound.
How did you fix the 360 stick dropping to the wing
What size selfie stick are you using? I switched to a 4ft one and it’s been fine. Anything longer it slowly drifts down
Thanks. What do you have to stabilize the stick

With this you can mount a selfie stick to it
Would like to know what’s the max speed you tested the mount with the selfie stick ?
The max speed I tested was in the 80’s but I do have a friend that used a similar set up on a track where he got up to 125mph before needing to break for a turn.
So stay away from the delkin?
Not necessarily… if you’re plan is only to mount on the rear window or other flat surfaces, I recommend the RAM mount as the Delkin is more time consuming to set up. The delkin mount is very strong as well and more versatile for mounting onto various components of the car though.
@@finegears interesting! I might go with the Delkin cause of the versatility. It’s a lot more expensive though so the RAM is definitely interesting. Also seeing your footage on the highway is definitely another positive. Would love to get some launch videos and some drag videos so something strong will be necessary. Thanks for the info and for the great video!
Hi, would you be able to share what’s the max speed you tested the mount with selfie stick on?
Great idea. Keep going on
Nice car. Was hoping for a longer vid. Maybe put a mic in the cabin or under trunk/engine area with a noise reduction
Pretty nice content so far! I look forward to seeing your next videos, the car looks really good and the setup for the 3D camera is very intelligent.
This is great! Do you have experience with this setup on track? Does it hold up?
I haven’t experienced it personally at the track but a friend of mine did and it held up great. I’d advise you check with the track itself to ensure they allow it. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
👏👏👏
Nice video👍
