Typically you don't use skald, magus, etc with EK, you use a full spell progression one (up to lvl9 spells), wizard, sorcerer, arcanist. Also remember, that having 1martial/10EK/9full caster would result in 15 BAB, you typically do 2martial/10EK/8wizard or 6SorcererOrArcanist/4DragonDisciple/10EK to have 17 or 18 spell casting levels (for 9th level spells) and 16+ BAB (for max attack). Having +2 attack over a regular full caster is huge, considering even that divine full casters can never achieve max attacks, and arcane casters can thank EK for that. The reason why you don't want to use other classes is that they get a lot from the last 10 levels while wizards typically don't (there are some exceptions, you don't want to have a shadowcaster wizard with this as you lose the good stuff, except if you go legend) and sorcerers lose some things from their bloodline but you can choose bloodlines that are more frontloaded (and you can get the capstone anyway). Arcanist loses greater exploits and magical supremacy, but it is still better to have some combat feats and full BAB in many cases. If you REALLY want to go to EK with a half-caster, you should consider the following - usually you want to exchange 4 levels to get +1 BAB and with it +1 attack, but you lose a discovery and grand discovery with alchemist, skald loses Master skald or Hit a nerve which is a lot to lose in most parties and little to lose in some others, magus loses Greater spell access and True Magus (and some), bloodrager gains virtually nothing but loses a lot. Bard loses deadly performance and the last increase in inspire courage and competence (and some rounds of singing them), so bard is usually your best candidate for EK. If you can't go dragon disciple, hellknight signifier is another nice addition to the EK+caster levels, also, you don't lose a spellcasting level like with dragon - you can do a the Sorcerer6/HS4/EK10 or a wizard5/HS4/martial1/EK10 for instance, and have 1 better spell progression. While HS is decent, you are usually better with some other ways to add to your armor than heavy armor - if you can spare a level, having one more ability to be added to it can go a long way with buffs. You might also consider Wizard8/EK10/StudentofWar2 or other ways to change your ac bonus with your "free martial levels" - while SoW is typically not recommended this is an application when it can work (and even here there is a huge requirement tax for it with 3 feats you won't typically use as a caster). For Legend playthroughs: go 10 EK with your first 20 levels with any class. Maybe even 6/4/10 with dragon disciple or hellknight signifier and your preference of wizard/sorcerer/arcanist. You can go to a higher DC at the end if you do that than what would be achievable if you would go 20 in your base class first.

Would your mind change at all if you consider the Paladin spells again combined with Enduring/Greater Enduring Spells? Then they become like having extra free feats as a lot of them will last 24 hours. Effortless Armor is like free Fighter Armor Training. Bless Weapon is like a super version of Critical Focus. A lot of their spells are great when they last 24 hours. And if it's your main your Angel spells also get the boost. The more I have played, the more I favor the base vanilla class. They get their spells and get Smite and Mark of Justice.

I'm still kind of a noob to Pathfinder but I am loving the Warlord Fighter Archetype from the Prestige Plus mod for this game. Every time you get to choose a bonus feat you can take Evasive Duelling to get a permanent +1 dodge bonus to AC (as long as you don't wear any chest armor). On top of that you also get a dodge bonus to AC from your CHA stat. Dodge bonuses to AC are awesome in that they can endlessly stack and still apply when polymorphed. The dodge bonuses help shore up the defenses of my demonic forms that already deal massive damage. Natural weapons are all finesse so went full DEX. Even before getting the demonic forms I love the idea of the this crazy warlord running around without armor with maximum confidence lol

Slayer is only good as a ranged character. In melee dies too damn fast.

ALso lazy owlcats did not give my boy 3 uses of spell kenning (ability to cast up to 3 spells from other classes). And transformation spell does not prevent skald from casting stuff while you sing your song. It is clearly the best support in the game.

Basic paladin is much better than any of his subclasses. Weak-ass paladin spells? Autocrit confirmation against evil, +CHA to saves for good characters, greater angel aspect, bane (lvl 4 spell).

I was on and off about Valerie until that moment in Pitax where Annamede Belaverah says "Loyalty is just a fancy word us bards invented" and Val shoots back with "You're full of yourself if you think bards invented loyalty, when warriors have been relying on it FAR longer" Roleplay-wise, I'd have given her a fist bump right in front of that snooty artist's face. As much as I loved Linzi, I always told her that her people were trash.

I've looked so many places for an answer to this without finding one, but maybe you can help. When I look at Stalwart Defender in the Encyclopedia it shows Uncanny Dodge at level 3, and Improved Uncanny Dodge at levels 7 AND 9. This makes no sense because getting IUD twice wouldn't do anything from everything I've researched. Do you know if this is a UI bug or something?

One the best Pathfinder classes (pen and paper or crpg) because it is so versatile, you can design an oracle to do anything, even in the crpg, and still be a full divine caster.

I was looking for a real respec guide for Regongar and get stg like a big disappointment. A booooring blabla consisting in a full review of all possibilities offered by the game but not matching at all with Regongar's specific background. A useless vid ! the elemental bloodline gives you the ability to change any kind of elemental damage to their own. It gives you flexibility in spells to work around immunities. But I tested and it does not work with elemental focus. So you can turn a fireball into acid ball but you can't pick elemental focus acid and raise it's DC that way.

You can set a specialized healer or assassin on "cautious" (or anyone else) if you want to stick their custom tactics only (I guess), say you don't want your healer attacking, go cautious and use their commands to set up the healing spells

Valerie is the most useless of all companions, this is becuse she MUST have the vindictive class as start and this can not be changed., which of course is completely useless. She is a divine caster that can NEVER learn a spell, and she is worse fighter than even Jubilost, and he is not a fighter at all, WHY was a fairly good fighter build even changed into someting that can not be used in any way, well of course I can arm her with a sword then a shiled and PRETEND she is a figher, but she is still useless and simply fills a companion slot. IF she had a way to actually use devine spells then she could be in the not completely trash category

1 point in point stealing unlocks a series of crime related quests in Denerim. So that is useful for gaining extra gold, content and experiences.

Am I the only one who really go some ludonarrative dissonance from Regongar talking about being the big man and than falling over if poison or in honesty anything touched him. Maybe he is less miserable to play with on lower difficulties but "The weak ones suffer, the strong endure." into getting one shot by a baby spider was the usual way fights went. Him being an orc made him getting knocked around a bunch even more miserable with him needing a revive instead of a heal every fight. Also my two S+ characters where Jaethal and Dog. Jubilosts only reason to be any good from my memory was casting weird infusions on Dog. Dog in his base form has some messed up stats. Buffing him a little makes him a monster. My favourites where mage armor, shield and any polymorph spell. Enchant as you like. Pretty sure Jaethal can shield wall when Dog has the shield spell on him. And those two where the only characters that did not have issues with poison or mental auras of enemies. And there were a lot of both. Enemies having mostly Charm/Hold Person made the duo even more hilarious to watch. And do not get me wrong Valeria and Amiri both were quite tanky, too. It is just very funny when your martial class characters are hiding behind a pet and a spellcaster. My 5 cents on the twins. You have to try hard to sabotage Kanerah to make Kelikke better than her. Having your spellcasting stat in your belt frees up your helmet to use the kineticist hats. Fire is a more useful element but just having an astronomic con save gets you through a lot of bad stuff. In general there is no competition between the sisters. It is like Dog and Ekko. You get both if you take one so why complain about the weaker one if the stronger one is good on her own. Best part is that you can swap them at any time if one of them has taken a beating and Kelikke eventually throws fire balls every (other) turn what is a useful talent to have if the talking goes south. They are strictly better than a normal kineticist because they have more elements available to them.

There are 2 Calistria worshippers in Wrath. One of them is in your party, Woljiff. And while he's an asshole at times, he's still reliable and fun to have around. The other Calistrian is an assassin you meet in Act 4 and she has several *very* good reasons behind her vendettas.

I wonder why you’re opposed to making him an oracle? If you’re cool with changing his class around why not swapping wisdom for charisma? I mean it’s not like Harrim is a wise dude in lore either. He doesn’t understand the gift of his god so he decides to leave behind everything he’s ever known to become a drunken wanderer and eventually a worshiper of Groetus which just involved twiddling your thumbs and waiting for the end of all things. Not the wisest move in the book in fact some might call it unwise. I think oracle fits him really well lore wise because he has this strange divine power he doesn’t understand foisted upon him which causes him no end of trouble. Like that’s pretty much the poster child of what an oracle is. Also you can take the time mystery and he gets all these cool powers that revolve around debuffing stuff by aging them which is exactly what he does in lore with his hands of the unmaker. Idk to me it just seems like a perfect fit lore wise as long as you’re willing to shuffle his stats around.
