3 Aspect Block Signal Control With 1 Toggle Switch
In this video I show how you can control a 3 aspect block signal on your model railroad layout with just one toggle switch. There are no electronic circuitry required, just your signal, a dropper resistor for the LEDs, and the switch.
Switch Needed:
E-Switch 100DP6T1B1M1QEH
Available for purchase from Digi-Key and Mouser:

Hitech PCB Review / Arduino Traffic Light Controller
Просмотров 299Год назад
In this video I review a sample PCB board from Hitech Circuits Co., Limited and build my Arduino based traffic light controller on their board. This traffic light controller will work with common anode LED signals or 12V incandescent based signals. Feel free to contact me regarding a purchase of this controller. Now you need to add a potentiometer to adjust the flash rate.
Challenge accepted, and challenge completed as I already sell such a board to the model railroading community! I extend the challenge to you, to make the same adjustable circuit with a microcontroller! I would make a great video for you!
@makerjeff86 i have a Complete Arduino grade Crossing code with this flash and bell and servo for Arduino Mega,
Não consigo encontrá-lo no site. Você pode me enviar um link direto para comprar o kit?
Which one? The top one or the bottom one?
Do you have the wiring diagram?
Some where
😎😎
For anyone interested, there’s a more detailed video here ruclips.net/video/I-vpj9QzUHg/видео.htmlsi=09wexcfVNCE2aRkn
Great job! I'm looking to do this very thing with a signal on a diorama. Thank you!
I need one piece brother
Where are you located?
Это круто! Прорыв! Вот прям сильно!
😎
Bro can you give the circuit diagram
No bro but I can build one for you.
@@makerjeff86 bro actually i want make a chess clock for DLD final year project i want to attach two count down timers
Mmooooo.... burgers😅
Nice circuit.
Thanks
😎
Nice projects😎👍🏾
Great scenery.. pretty cool chase
Looks like durasig traffic light
Nice work, do u have the diagram for this one?
I’m sure I do.
@@makerjeff86 would be great if u share it :)
@@mrnurse4479 I can build you one instead of you make a donation. ruclips.net/user/shortsZltKnJ_vNSY?si=GBy1K_QmHiAcg5LO
Nice! I’ve got mine in the works, making it for my cousin!
Work like to know how to get one of those with the welder figure with it in HO SCALE
I can make a board for you. As far as the HO scale figure let me make one for the club first and see how that comes out.
How can I get one
If you really want one I can make you one.
I love this new board they sent you, perfectly done... I love how it's set up. I have the code you sent me awhile back and turned it into a 4 way intersection a set of leds on each side of the board. I love this feature it was exactly what I've always wanted.... So I have this sketch that I'm trying to add this sketch so it would work like real life, regular traffic lights during the day an at a certain time at night the caution lights would go on effect...then when time reached go back to full working order an So on. You did absolutely amazing with this.
oh lord LMAO
I’m gonna eat all the cows that you don’t.
'Promo SM'
????
Very good demonstration on your break out board
Thanks!
Hey I must have forgotten the kit that you gave me at the club near the staging yard
What’s it do?
Controls the lights on a model railroad road crossing
Awesome!
Congratulations on the reverse engineering there Jeff!
Looks like a useful tool there Jeff.
It's coming right along Jeff.
Ok?
I think it is 😄
that's cool
Cool. But why? Next you need the reflective plate. Fun fact: you can use alu foil for testing or to just cheap out
Why? Because why not? Something to do and I like traffic lights. I have 2 real ones in my garage. For the reflector I’m going to 3D print that too then just paint it silver.
@@makerjeff86 silver paint makes it so easy. Good choice
Interesting project Jeff. Is this a 1/2 size traffic light or a 1/2 inch scale (1/24) light?
Half size Art. I guess I was a bit mis leading lol!
@@makerjeff86 Looking at the video, I figured that was the case. If it was 1/24th you might have some G-scalers reaching out to you.
Hello. How much for the breakout board?

Me gustaria ver el circuito gracias
8 Bits Left shift and Right shift that is easy and nothing。😏😏
Thanks for the inspirational comment!
We always grab a CPU to do this now, The digital ICs are left on the shelf, nicely done. Requires more effort but its worth it. Both ways have their place for inventors. Good old 555 Timers, got to love them 😊. Try something using analogue and OP Amps. Another under utilised resource by inventors now. I noticed you had 2 Devices as drivers i asumed, i was curious what you were using them for ?
Its 2 4017’s cascaded together.
great job but was not kitt sorta more then 1 light. sorta center bright with low powered light ether side? But does look good.
I am trying to remember kit too. His 😂 its lights were behind red opaque Perspex, the same as the Robot Cylons. It helps with the effect. I am assuming that is what you meant.
@@darrellsharrock3859 ah, could be. maybe I am thinking of his voice lights (inside cabin). Will have to re watch an episode lol thx!
KITT was just one light at a time but they used high powered halogen bulbs that took a few seconds to turn completely off. It gave the illusion of multiple lights on as they faded off.
Cool I want one. One caveat it must come with programmable original voice of start actor that voiced the car responses and it’s commentary
Ooh, that isn't as hard as it sounds, no punn intended, I bet there are some great mp3 snippets of that voice still about. There is a lot of mp3 player circuits you can make that you install individual sound bights onto and play back on a speaker under the dash. A little enginuity and you could go heaps further than that, maybe build a vocabulary from the series.
Martin Matassa email me if you would like to commission me to build one.
Cool, neat job Jeff!
Really neat wiring there Jeff!
This is a really great video Jeff I like the fact they have a bit of fade
Sometimes you don’t need an arduino!
@Maker Jeff That's True ima ima have to order these parts. I wanna make a couple of these...
Great how-to video Jeff. Anyone (who can solder) should be able to follow that.
Thanks Art. That circuit’s use in model railroading is the very reason I got into electronics as a kid.
So stupid it's fun.
I've built many a decade counter just like that Jeff.
That 74192 is from your collection!
@@makerjeff86 Great!
Can you help me, I'm trying to bring back my original box back from the dead I did see I turn any atx power supply but I'm a bit stuck. I did see Breakout Board but that brings a problem as most online have one way input and does not have output to 20 pin Molex MiniFit Jr connector female as that's what the xbox uses. Can you help m how does one contact you as I don't see any email. I am willing to pay you for your help in making or help making something that I can use. Please reach out to me if you can help I think your only hope to bring back my xbox. Xbox needs 3.3v please help.
