I caved I got one of these and a Scorpius lol. Looking forward to it.

ive been wondering, how much bigger are they making them? we've never seen size 6 guns so maybe size 7 on the chin turret and size 5s on top?

Both are excellent choices and I'm trying my very - very best not to sway you one way or the other with my comments, but to be as neutral as possible, I can say that for me personally, the 135mm offers a lot more value in my camera bag than the 70-200 ever could. As of the time of this comment I have a 14mm f1.8 a 16-35 GM II, 24-70 GM II and 135mm f1.8 GM. The reason I like the 14mm and 135mm so much and why I'll be bringing them to Japan for videos is that they give very unique optical perspectives to anything else out there. I've found that having variety of image and ability to shoot low light helps a lot with my general footage. I think the 70-200 is also a very physically long lens and the white element draws too much attention in public, especially In a country like Japan where even taking out a camera will at times get dirty looks. Lens wise, they are both optically excellent, one advantage I believe that the 70-200 has is optical stabilization over the 135mm f1.8. I didn't really see that as too much of an issue due to inbody stabilization with Sony and especially if you can get access to the gyro data. The f1.8 aperture in combination with the 135mm focal length makes backgrounds very creamy and beautiful for portrait photography. The lens is incredibly sharp, I was testing it by trying to take images of planes flying over and zooming in on them in post - and yes they were really crisp, clear and in focus. As far as capturing far away things they are both really good at doing it. The 135mm lens is heavy, solid well built, but it pulls to the front - I didn't find this an issue at all, I like and prefer this in some cases and it felt fine during my initial testing. There is no circular polarizer notch on the hood which is a shame. There is some dust you might have to contend with with the bigger glass element, but aside from that either choice is great. Phew! That's me trying to be fair to both these lenses.

@@MikamisHouse Thanks so much for your detailed insight, I appreciate it! It's nice to hear that you have also faced this decision regarding the 70-200mm.f2.8. I definitely would like to get it one day as it seems to work really nicely with the 1.4x adapter and should be amazing with it in crop mode. I do wish the 70-200 came in black! I agree on prioritizing the f1.8 and the sharpness of this 135mm lens, especially when being able to crop on the A7RV it should be more than enough reach. Walking around in a city sounds like this lens would be really fun, especially with those backgrounds it will produce. All with much lower light! It's funny you're also mentioning the 16-35mm and 14mm as well.. That'll be the next decision but I'm leaning toward the 14mm f1.8 or the Viltrox 16mm f1.8... :)

@@GS_Lexus I'm not 100% sure but I think there was a deliberate design choice to use white as it reflects sunlight over black which absorbs it. At certain temperatures maybe internal elements in the lens might get misaligned or damaged. The next question you need to decide is how wide is wide enough? 16 or 14mm. To me I find 16mm wide enough for mostly anything and it gives the impression of scale, depth and grandeur. 14mm makes me gawk in awe, it's just amazing! I just hate that the bulbus element gets exposed on the front part of the lens - my OCD kicks in. I tried 10 and 12mm and I found that they are a tad too wide for me, more for landscapes and nothing really stands out, whereas 14mm accentuates anything you point at it in a beautiful way, especially good for buildings, street videography, interiors or even exterior architectural shots. Very useful for me as I'm going to Japan and the buildings and monuments are so beautiful. I could get away with 16mm during the day, but at night the 14mm f1.8 comes out!! Whatever you go with, it sounds like you are doing a great job researching everything and making wise and intelligent choices. Keep it up!

It's very good, but it's also an expensive product. I like it because you can strap it to your backpack or connect it to a tripod. It has a lot of utility and is small so most people don't notice it in public. The issue is the price, with a little more you can get an iphone 15 and the gimbal for that (although larger) is cheaper. I think it has a good use if it's attached to you it's less noticeable by the public, so you can scooter through the city and get some good images or hand hold it and walk with it. It has a specific use scenario. The quality is slightly better than an iPhone 15 in my opinion. I do like it.

I mean, it’s a trading ship. I’m not really an origin guy myself, but I prefer this way over the edgy warship aesthetic, despite the merchantman’s origins.

So true man, I think this is one of the ships that has the highest amount of owners but is yet to release, it’s beyond me why they aren’t working on it.

Yeah this thing is so fucking fugly it's insane. Nothing remotely like the concept. The OG concept artists obviously had a different tastes to what CR likes, now every ship need's a spoiler and thin flimsy looking bits all over them.

@@desibellsbeatsIt's a bit more than "just a merchant ship". It's a blockade runner during times of war to and does so with no fear. It also doubles as a generational home amongst Banu and gets passed down like an heirloom. So saying it's a merchant ship, is selling it short of what it fully is really, but yeah, Merchant ship is a big part of it, there's no denying that aspect, cause Banu love good business, then again, war is business to. Iirc they even stole tech from a race by force just because they wanted it. The Banu are peaceful, but not all of them. Plus they trade with the Vanduul to so.. shady.
