My neighbors learned the hard way. They had their bull in the yard.... often pawed around.. on day the father never came back the house. Dead in the cow yard because of the bull he always petted. I will " never " allow a bull on the place with out a ring in its nose and at least ( a starter ) chain 5 feet long. Later add up to a total length 8 foot chain. If that dont work......add a window weight on to that ! Then.......go pet him !

Removing wrap from a single wrapped bale. Place the bale on end........cut in quarters on the top of the bale and over the sides. It like pealing a banana !

Always point the spear down when not using it !!!!!!! Deadly leaving it stick out for someone to walk into !

interesting subject.costs of methods of winter fodder storage and comparison of twine,net wrap and plastic film usage. so 1 year on which method produces the quality feed you need , and how do the costs work out,and did you manage to reduce plastic usage or increase any recycling rates?

INDIVIDUAL wrap is better for me. I'll stick with it especially if selling individually wrapped bales from year to year

The reason for more plastic is because of all the handling involved, otherwise you would complain about all the holes. The bales I keep I use less twine and and plastic. The hay I sell is more twine and thicker plastic. Sell enough hay and you will find out.

I totally agree on what you said about idling vs driving to warm up an engine. I've read that 90 percent of engine wear happens below operating temperature so to me driving it gentle and getting the temp up faster is way better for the engine than idling for 30 minutes below operating temp.

Feed and water the cows. Sounds simple enough. Snow isn't bad by itself, but add in the wind and slick muddy fields and it gets to be trouble. You're handling it well. Stay safe when you fix the tin wall. It can be frustrating to see how one thing like the cost of wrap can cause problems in so many other areas. Appreciate you taking the time to make a video about it. Well done!
