Very nicely done. It's not east flying fast in dense woods. Did you use a 360 camera or a reverse mounted GoPro to get the behind shots?
Thankyou! I used an insta 360 go 3 pointed backward. It seemed to work well. it's nice and light. I don't think my dji avata could handle the weight of a 360 cam or a gopro, especially going that fast.

i don't know why ski resorts don't offer this as a service. They would make a killing.
Paying for the drone follow cam? I think it would cost too much to Pay a pro to do it. And you wouldnt want a bunch of people renting those self flying ones drones are kinda annoying and loud. The noise is the thing I dislike most about my drone.
Sad I’m down to my final ski trip of the season 😔. But it’s a good one, 7 days in whistler!

I think I'd rather use that sled to get me up a mountainside so I'd let gravity propel my riding instead of getting towed on flats.
Definitely 100%. The only problem with that was we didn't have enough snow to do sled laps yet.

What how do you do that
These ones, the hubs are bored 0.005" smaller than the shaft. You then heat the hub up until it it's larger than the shaft. When it cools down it shrinks and gets permanently stuck on the shaft.

@@drewjcush lol, always a student. I try to find time to practice. That last practice session was Monday and I hit bench trying to fly under in full manual mode. The drone shot across the floor full throttle. Not sure why because I wasn’t hitting the throttle up. The Avata is great but sometimes if you hit something it goes full speed and doesn’t turn off easily. 🤷🏻♂️
@CaptureLifeConnection yeah that's happened to me a few times. I've kinda gotten the hang of double tapping the start stop button when it starts to go psyco on the ground.

Is this always the *same* Avata? If it is this video is a testament that it can take a beating and just keep on going 😅 Some advice: get a protection for the lens and put some hours into a simulator. Keep on havin' fun 👌
Yeah, it's the same avata. I did break the main frame, one motor, and a few props, but it wasn't too hard to fix. I do have 115 hours into liftoff. It has helped a lot! A lens protector would be good. I lost my nd filter bracket on one of my crashes. I should probably buy another.😅
Do you recommend this drone? I’m thinking of getting one
It depends on what kind of flying you want to do. If you want to do more tricks and flips, I would get something else. If you want to do more easy flying and filming, this is pretty good. It's also easy to pack around. This is my first drone, so I don't have much experience with anything else, but it's been really good for me so far.
Practice on a sim first for sure . Liftoff is what I used

Single track or breaking trail, my favorite thing to do on my YZ.
Yeah single track is the best. But it is hard to resist a good hillclimb!
