I don't own the copyrights of these songs, they belong to The Ventures who I admire from always. I think these are some of their most catchy hits ever, ideal for a Surf Music listener. Enjoy!

Handsome, Hairy Friendly Turkish Trucker

Two guys (one from India and the other from England) go from Kolkata to London by bike. Both have many problems, after crossing India frontier (they needed to take a flight from Bombay to Almaty (Kazajkstan) and when they get into Russia, they have problems with the bike, so in a sudden, a really cute, hairy, sexy, easygoing turkish trucker helps them to get to Moscow... for those turk men fans...

Maybe the most beautiful 80s New Wave song ever, brutally ignored and underrrated. Enjoy!!!
Al Stewart - Lori, Don't Go Right Now

Simply, one of the most beautiful pop songs of all time: I googled the words "sad girl" to find pics for this video. Hope you like it. This is the first track of Al's "Russians and Americans" album from 1984.
Felt - Vasco da Gama

One of my very Felt's favorites, I just made this video yesterday, but I was piling images, romanic ones, about Vasco and about Felt. Hope you like it. This video is dedicated to the memory of Cocó Ciëlo.

This is from 1983 or 1984, I finally foud info about this song. It`s taken from a Netherlands Compilation titled "grote Prijs van Nederland 1983. It was airplayed in Peru in a radio station, 1984. Piu Piu's "Nougat" album was released in 1984, feturing this song and two more hits like "I'd Like to Love my Baby but (I'm Going Crazy)" and "Flughafen"

If it wasn’t for tony Mansfield this guy would of been nothing…sorry!
Ya viene Nole
The Captain...so nice guy👍
I love how the lead guitar sounds like a balance between indie and classical music. Maurice is a genius.
Hey Joseph, great song and video. By the way. You were probably the 1st guy to mention Vasco da Gama as Vasco. Have 47 years born, raised and lived in Portugal and had never heard that before. I do my travels and can't also bring to live any moment when someone mentioned him in such a cheek to cheek maner. Cool to feel you feel intimate to his memory ;)))
Turkish men r hot!!
Out of it all comes shame Like the villain who laid the blame And like it wasn't me who said That you're better off being dead Out of it all comes a sense of despair Your head wears your mind but your body is bare You wake from your sleep and you know that it's true You're starting to win but the game's nearly over for you You know that it's true, yeah you And everyone's through with you And this day is through for you Why is it only me that believes in honesty? And like I've searched all the darkest mines To try and find out where you lie Somebody's changed and I know that it¹s you But I'll take the blame 'cos I'm that kind of fool And you say it's me, yeah that's probably true Resigned [it's owe?] to the fact that the game's nearly over for you You know that it's true, yeah you And everyone's through with you And this day is through for you Out of it all comes shame I was the villain who laid the blame And like you know it was me who said That you're better off being dead Out of it all comes a sense of despair The head wears your mind but your body is bare You wake from your sleep and you know that it's true You¹re starting to win but the game's nearly over for you You know that it's true, yeah you Everyone's through with you And this day is through for you
😭😭😭😭 espero vuelva pronto. Yo lloraria a full por un autografo o sino el tomarle la mano. Vamos rafaaa N1
He's a good chap is captain...
A tribute to one of the most important navigators of the history. I´m very proud to be Portuguese. Thank you Mr. Lawrence.
Is it really a tribute?
@@andyisdead No it isn't.
Io preferisco "I don't know wich way to turn", ma pure questa non è male!
sensible singles class album never fails to cheer me up
Yes man, you tell the truth
The New Musik 'sonar' sounds...nice!
Genius of Tony Mansfield
One of my all time favorite Felt songs and I think the first song I heard by them. Janice Long radio 1983 or 1984. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
This video is from Palanca! He heard this song from my cassettes (80's from radio Doble Nueve in Lima) and inspired him to make this video. I have looked this video from a long time!!!
Are there a sketching with Pedro Palanca Part 2?
And along with Mick Jones and Pete Shelley, one one nicest man around from that era
I absolutely agree with J.Hammersmith, a gem that doesn't sound dated, even with the 80's production
ojala fuera Federer
jaja si fuera federer yo ya me iva jajaj

PRECIOSA CANCIÓN POP!!

Great number - not heard it before is a good melodic song
conociste a coco cielo? murio en espana
where oh where did Maurice Deebank go to?
In a monastery? Not sure if that's true.
A lot of Thanks.
I'm still looking for the lyrics, here is a personal attempt: Marsepeine Baby from Amsterdam She stares when these pants on up the way down She cares about the moral she cares about the moral Sight said mad these pants on (she's sad I'll be okay Marsepeine yeah baby She wants to take take take it o-over She blessed you on the motion I get up when I try to scare scareful and lusty It's so cold, uh, she's so close She does Valentine well the night show Don't want to play with her, uh huh uh huh
Beautiful song from long time ago... Classic
That blonde girl with the Sensible doll is very cute.
The good Captain was kind enough to spend time with me, letting me into the Dickies' soundcheck and backstage after the show at my first Damned gig ever last Thursday night. He really is the most lovely guy I've ever met and there's not a bad word I can say against him. Oh and this really is a cracking tune!
Wonderful song! I agree... brutally ignored and underrated.
He's not dead yet !
Jan Kin, Jac Biko, Bob Langenberg en.....?
carel de neeve bas!
He is lovely (not in a gay way) !
Who is Martha the Mouth? Strange....was she someone who kissed and told or involved in a spy operation....from the lyrics that I can understand I have no idea....cool song thanks for posting!
Martha Mitchell was the wife of John Mitchell, the Wall Street lawyer who served as attorney general and campaign manager under President Richard Nixon in the early 1970s. Nixon was ultimately forced to resign for his role in the Watergate scandal, in which John Mitchell and others in Nixon's administration were found to have bugged the opposition Democrats and done all sorts of other unsavory things to combat their political opponents. Martha, a colorful and outspoken character who loved the spotlight, was offended by the illegal activities going on in the White House, and she knew just enough about them to cause trouble. When she started to blow the whistle, the White House responded by claiming Martha was a mentally ill alcoholic. At one point, Nixon's thugs held her against her will and forcibly sedated her to keep her from talking. She became something of a national joke for a while but was later proved to be correct in her assertions. Tragically, she died of cancer within two years of Nixon's resignation. She was a brave and colorful woman, and this song is beautiful remembrance of her. Check out the first episode of the new podcast series "Slow Burn" for more info. The episode's title is "Martha" and it's all about Martha Mitchell. megaphone.link/PPY3387217654

@drumbotic808 I listened to Best Coast song and it only matches a bit with the riff and part of the chords. That guitar riff was played by many indie bands during the eighties and early nineties. However, it sound a bit like the 60's baroque rock to me
the captain....he`s sumthin else..
love song
@hammertoejoe cheers for an outstanding tune
Lovely! You did a good job. Always happy for a Felt video!
@gauguin456 I guess it was Super FM. 99 were more attached to classic rock rather than new wave. Super FM was a fantastic station. Thanks for posting.
All I can say is that listening to this song always brings me happiness and luck. The same goes to you good listeners. Love.
