Roughnecks is a British television drama series, created and principally written by former Tomorrow's World presenter Kieran Prendiville, that first broadcast on BBC1 on 16 June 1994. Produced by First Choice Productions, Roughnecks ran for two series, with the final episode broadcasting on 21 December 1995. The series centres on the working and personal lives of the crew of the fictional oil rig "The Osprey Explorer" in the North Sea. Offshore filming was undertaken on the oil rig Dan Countess, which was not in use at the time.[1]

Amazing direction! only grade B, C, D and beyond actors. It's not how much they spent, it's how much they laughed making it that matters! Did Rip Thorn or Loretta Swift do another 1K $ + gig? yet they were VERY popular!

I'm not sure, I had to switch the old stem to a better one that I got from a second hand shop here in sweden some years ago. But sold the pipe yesterday and made a small fortune when it comes to a vintage pipe the buyer admitted he was only after the mouthpiece.

Wow, I haven't seen this movie in ages. One of my favorite 80s comedies, way too underrated. Nevada is a lovely state, and the director found some really good locations there for his shooting. My uncle, a lifelong native of Nevada lives one block over from the bar they filmed in for the pub scenes. His sister was an extra in the scene with the talk show. Always love watching Kenneth Mars and Rip Torn, RIP.
Dick Shawn's Phil Donohue is hilarious.

In the 80s I worked at the glass pavillion which is the main branch of the TD Bank in Toronto. We saw her from the branch when we were working. They were filming a scene on the grounds of the TD Centre. I haven't had a chance to watch this yet, so I don't know if that scene made the final cut.
