1982. 3 of us in a Ford van. Half our stuff ripped off while we spent the day on the beach in Acapulco. Police told us to check in with the tourist bureau. lol. We drove out of town and did some shrooms. My two buddies eventually sacked out in the back and I smoked spliffs with this album on repeat and drove all night to Puerto Angel. Good times.

I always thought that , one of the reasons this band worked so hard was because the rest of the English scene was so post Beatles, that they were lazy? These guys kick IT.

I grew up in this period. This captures EXACTLY what I saw the first time I saw him. The angry years were absolutely timeless. I absolutely like what he's done going forward, but nothing was as raw and emotional as these years. Good video.

Pete Thomas totally is a beast and just amazing power technique timing and those fills. Incredible. Saw him and Elvis last month and both still brought it big time. Whole band was phenomenal.
