There is a belief that there are particular youth camps or tournaments that result in a higher chance of an athlete receiving a college scholarship (full to partial). We can't think of any research that has specifically looked at this, but we will search and talk about it on the show some time. Many youth coaches and organizers use this rhetoric in a sort of "fear of missing out way", but many college coaches will state that the camps or tournaments themselves are not the be all end all for scholarships.

It can be a very difficult to break the cycle but with more discussion we can explore the different ways to "fix" the recruiting process. stay tuned for more on the subject and thanks for watching. Be sure to check back once we are finished re-branding.
