Super playing as always! Randomly, my first ever jazz guitar lesson was with Dave about 20 years ago haha! A total waste as I could barely play a minor penatonic scale at the time. My actual teacher Al was a student of Dave's and he was in York for a gig. How I wish I could have that opportunity again now.

One of the best. He can play any style. I heard John live many years ago. He was playing on a King 2B with a Bach 12C trombone mouthpiece.

Proud that the other three musicians of Summit Reunion are more than just a rhythm section and being British and still alive and playing , they confirm the continuing amalgamation over several decades of the American jazz heritage styles with their equally talented British counterparts ..

SO MUCH TALENT! Superb trumpet and voice by Mr. Stripling. And great band, too. Who’s better than Mark Shane? Antti Sarpila is a very fine reed player but I enjoy him most on clarinet. And Bob Wilber was simply a special musician. Kudos to all.

If Kenny Davern were still alive he would also be performing here.
