Dressage horses are absolutely not sorn. They require the horses to be in peak physical condition, and that would only weaken them. I’m not saying abuse doesn’t occur, I 100% agree it does, they use whips etc… but just not soring.

As a teenager Iworked briefly for a point to point trainer who used a rapping pole studded with nails .

@@pixie706 but that’s not dressage is it, that’s racing.. completely different equestrian event, with exceptionally different requirements. Point to point is all about stamina and fitness. Dressage needs the intense muscle strength to be able to pull off the movements..

If ANY complaint is made it had to be followed up, no matter how little and pathetic. If it was really abuse that took in this video that hasnt been seen by the public, then why did the person wait 4 years to be a pathetic a*sehole and send it without doing anything sooner?!

It is the horse world we’re talking about. Even tho every body knows that Anky van Grunsven uses the rollkur she is still allowed to show. And if you have a video of this, someone has fame and money, and you don’t, then they can easily destroy you without any damage to themselves and you got nowhere with the video. I understand why they waited that long… and while it’s bad for the horses and it SHOULD be reported earlier, I know that it also isn’t really possible in the world we live in.

Just like any trained dog learns by being tortured? Horses learn through training, repetition and reward, ideally at least. But I think using animals as sports equipment is crap, and Dujardin's behavior is crap anyway.

Horses can perform without abuse. Your statement is false. There are different methods and different trainers. And maybe how much the sport had progressed with standards, equipment and pressures need to be addressed as well.
