    Rode this 2x with my 14 y/o son on June 7th. While my son was a bit anxious about the exposure and preferred PBR, I loved the unnamed trail and figured “edgelord” would be a fitting name. I hope my submission wins.

    Care to recommend bindings? The usual suspects (M. Griffons, L. Pivots) or something else? Are T. Protectors really safer?

    • @skitownall-stars5235
      @skitownall-stars5235 5 месяцев назад

      Hey Steve! for sure! the griffon is a go to for these, comes with sole id for all different boot heights and keeps the weight down especially if you don't need a din above 9 or 10. This ski is on the heavy side so putting a pivot 15 or even the 14 you are going to add some weight for sure. We are not a fan of the protector for 2 reasons! 1. Being the weight and 2. it comes on a demo track and raises the stack height. we think the protector has a long way to go from the current version 1. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to hit our shop up! cheers!

      @@skitownall-stars5235 Thanks for your quick answer. I've got the Protectors on my Peak 88's. The toe and heal pieces are separate with no track. I don't feel any stand height issues. Wildly unlike my usual self, I purchased these without demoing, but I'm not disappointed. I have the older Griffons on my N. Enforcer 100's and they're fine. The newer one's are supposed to be even better (easier to get back into in deep snow). I also have Marker system bindings on my B. T-birds with a race plate under the track. Again, I don't notice any stand height issues. I'm glad for the plate so I don't "boot out" with a high edge angle (these are my only skis that are narrower than my boots). I'm a III, weigh 175-180, and am 77. So, all charts put my DIN at 6-7. Never tried the Pivots, or even knew anyone who did, but your most visible online competitor seems to love them.

    • @skitownall-stars5235
      @skitownall-stars5235 5 месяцев назад

      @@steveliberman3000 we very familiar with the protector and they do in fact come on demo tracks, a toe track and heal track and adjusted with plastic clips not a screw driver. This affect toe height and performance. If you are running a din of 6-7 a griffon would be a great go to or a salamon strive 13 which would be easier to step into. Don't want to sound like a know it all but Thunderbird do not have race plates...its a system track. Race plates add stiffness to skis like the Nordica Doberman Multigara and some of the Blizzard HRC's

    The new Enforcers imho are not more user friendly regarding flex and weight. I wish Nordica would make a more flexy lighter weight enforcer because the shape works but in fresh snow flex and less weight would be super fun. That being said the 89 has become my go to ski in spite of the stiffness and weight. The 99 is an absolute board compared to the 100, there is no flex and it's heavy which is great for firm groomers where you need some off trail versatility but ultimately the Enforcer is a groomer ski more than less. These are not skis for the weak and it takes a lot to ski the 89 for an entire day as you lose strength throughout the day but for some reason it's become my go to ski, even in fresh snow the 89 shape works vs other comparable width skis from different companies.

    • @skitownall-stars5235
      @skitownall-stars5235 6 месяцев назад

      Enforcers are Enforcers and are not for everyone. Nordica stays true to their roots and the customers that have come to love the hard charging enforcer feel. If you want something more "flexy" there are a ton of other options great options on the market like rustlers or rangers.

    Would this ski be as playful as say a Kastle FX84 (circa 2014 when they added metal)? That's my current ski and while the Enforcer sounds incredible, would I lose any of the versatility and ability to ski backwards, smear turns on the backside of moguls, and have playfulness and agility through bumps and trees? That's the main reason I went with the Kastle FX line vs their all-mountan MX and I'd want to make sure this 2025 Enforcer was closer to the former not the latter.
