Best track in the game People don't like it because they played this when they were young but it's not that bad, it has a lovely design

I recently decided to obtain the Platinum trophy on PS. I must say your video helped me a lot! ♥ The racers are truly cheater on this track :D

When I was a kid I got stuck here and could never progress. It wasn't until I re-installed the game in my 20s on a nostalgia kick that I finally got to see the end levels

The constant 60 fps makes a huge difference on this game

I remember after 1000 attempts as a kid, I accidentally discovered the boost mechanic. It felt like discovering gold.

i played it last weeks and this definetly the hardest track. if you somehow fall to the second floor on the first long 'tunnel' you need to ride a lage extra round nearly impossible to recover from. Every round i slowed down to 250kmh in these curves but sometimes my podracer just blew up. What a feeling having finished this as 1st... I'm glad i found it on steam again.

Yeah Abyss sucks so much, couldn't beat it better than 8th when I was young, and even now I still have a hard time (though I can win it)

Amazing level design & aesthetics, awesome music, and the SPEED!!! And this track was so hard as a kid, I tried going slowly but then the other racers would blast through me or I'd miss that tiny jump (or that accursed curve glitch spot)! Thanks for the upload! I might get this on Steam...

this was the best racing game for the n64! im so glad they remade it :D the reflexes needed on some of those tracks was insane!

Honestly, this track isn't _that_ hard... at least not consistently. It's got one really nasty trick with that bilevel hairpin and the rest is really just what you'd expect from the Ord Ibanna venue. What this track _is_ is a very good example of bad level design.

I don't even remember HOW I won this, I somehow beat this as a kid and for the life of me I CAN'T win it today as an adult.

Seeing that it IS possible to reclaim the 1st place spot after falling off the top gives me the incentive to boot up the game & try it again! The only racer that I came close to finishing this race with when it first came out was Bullseye, but I still ended up in 4th place.

This is one of those tracks where having mad top speed upgrades and cooling doesn't really help, because it's all long sweeping corners where accuracy is critical, so you almost never get to boost and are air braking constantly. Coupled with the frequent random collisions with scenery and physics glitches, it was one of about 3 tracks that really tested my patience on a recent replay. I never even found the two skips you use, despite seeing AI use them sometimes!

Last night after 20 years of playing this game, I finally beat this track.

Oh my god the nostalgia gives me goosebumps. What a great game that was, one of the last good arcade games. And well done btw, to see this track rips old scars of despair open.

Three words. Fuck. This. Track!

Played this game a lot as a child. This brought me back to remembering failing on this track many times.

So it is possible all this time I thought it was glitched.

最難関コース。 ２週目はタイムが悪い。理由は、このコースって、2階建なんどけど、上の階から落ちて、下の階は遠回りコースで、とんでもなく時間ロスになるから。だけど、道が細くて、落ちちゃうのよ。もう絶対落ちる。上の階で走るなんて無理よ。

I did this after about 6 tries but I really had to get the right mix of top speed and turning to pull this off. It was not easy.

The hardest part for me was avoiding the netting on the sides of the track. Those death snags when trying to stay on top were brutal!!!
