On this layover in Narita, Japan, I discovered so much more than just a stopover city near the airport! While Narita is often overlooked by travelers rushing into Tokyo, it’s a hidden gem packed with culture, delicious food, and stunning sights like the Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple. Can one walk there from Narita airport?
It’s possible but not typically recommended. The airport is about 7-10 kilometers (around 4-6 miles) from central Narita, so walking might take over an hour. Most people opt for a train ride, it takes only 10 min to reach the Narita city.
Destined to be overlooked because of the airport. The shrine and park look great!

Although, sometimes I miss some nice mango sticky rice and even lamb kabsa (from the service- who would have imagined!) You did great job with the video, especially for a first timer in Athens! A layover does not provide enough time to truly understand Japan,right?
@@nowgaku I agree, you need days if not weeks to see what Japan has to offer. But as a part of my job, I only have 24 hours layover in all the destinations I fly to, hence the concept of this channel. Japan is high on my bucketlist for a vacation, it’s truly my favorite country!
I'm wondering, how much sushi lunch plates cost?
@@sobr4691 I paid approximately 1200 ¥ Which is about 8$. I think it’s cheaper to have sushi is Japan than anywhere else.
