Add water to feed. Kneel down while they eat and rub neck or face. These are rescue donkeys so they are afraid.

Well like we all know what's up with the donkeys explain alittle bit more if it's not too much trouble 😮
They are desert animals so only can take in so many calories without getting colic or laminitis. If you decide to get a donkey, they need a vet and farrier (person who trims hooves), just like horses do. The vet can tell you more. (TeFF hay is low in sugar.)
Because one is pregnant so she's eating for 2 hahahaha oh boy
She does look pregnant! The rescue I got them for had them pregnancy checked! Haha! (Not pregnant)

Hello! Donkeys are desert animals so they do not need much to eat. If they over eat it makes them sick with laminitis or colic. They, along with horses (equine family) cannot vomit and their digestive system is more delicate. It’s very important to have a veterinarian who can be called to intervene if they show signs of colic or a laminitis attack. Low sugar hay, lots of fresh water an available and a supplement is best for most. Thank you so much for your interest!
