Ram 1500 ARE Truck Cap DIY Roof Rack
In this video I show details on how I found a junk yard roof rack off of a Ford Excursion, Ford Expedition or Ford Windstar that works really well as a roof rack on my ARE Fiberglass Pickup Truck Cap.
I will show you what I did to mount the OEM Ford Roof Rack onto my Ram 1500 ARE Truck Cap and did it all for less than $30!
ARE and other similar truck bed toppers are popular, but the roof rack offerings can run well over $500 for rails and cross members (www.yakima.com or www.4are.com) which was out of my budget!
With a quick trip to the used auto parts yard (www.upullrparts.com) I was able to shop a huge selection of roof racks and they only ask $20-$30 for the parts after you remove them yo...
