But how do you KNOW it's god talking to you and not just the voice in your head? Your "sitting still and being quite" letting your mind go blank and sooner or later you will hear something. How do you know that what you hear is god and not just your board mind making you think you hear something?
It's just not enough to "prove god exists"
@@gagechandler8523 that’s a great question!! when I mean be Still and listen to God I’m talking about meditating on his word because when we focus our mind on the things God has for us such as scripture or worship, he will start to open your eyes to the things that he wants you to go in the right direction. Sometimes it might not be him actually talking to you it might be him putting something on your heart to go get or to go do.
@@gagechandler8523 you will know that it is from God because God‘s voice is very unique. If it’s from God, God brings love, peace joy all the fruits of the spirit. Your own mental fleshly thoughts are going to bring anxiety, confusion, and even depression. What God wants is the best for you the positive things for you, so you will know if it’s from God.

Im not that close with god but i can see where youre coming from, just talk to Him, confess to Him and then thank him for everything you have in your life, change the subject in your own body pretty much. Its hard after a while to stay committed but when you overcome yourself its such a better feeling than that and you feel whole.
