    When did Tufte present this speech?

  • @borisstarosta7823
    @borisstarosta7823 3 месяца назад

    Tufte in general leans against the use of slides, better enabling an audience to focus on what the presenter is saying. For graphics, he strongly advocates physical handouts; this further enables his audience to focus on the speech, as it need not worry about missing anything on a projection screen. So it follows naturally that he would not show slides to "support" his talk. I share his experience and wisdom: slides tend to put people to sleep (unless they are really, really well done, which most are not).

    I think he had handouts only - not slides. I say that because typically you would see the presentee look at the screen as the slides were changed. He would lift up his handouts and point to them. As far as I can tell no one has photographed those and uploaded to this site.

    Civil society 2.0 is an evil organization the destroys governments by overthrowing them and installing hand picked leaders. Any country that has US supported NGO's should remove them immediately. Do not allow Civil Society 2.0 or Open Society to operate within your borders. Do not allow George Soros NGOS . If you look at Ukraine you will see the result of Civil Society 2.0, George Soros and the US State department at work.

    A shame they decided to video his face, instead of the visualizations he's talking about. It makes the talk rather hard to follow.

    • @haraldurkarlsson1147
      @haraldurkarlsson1147 2 года назад

      This is how talks used to be given in general. Actually some of the best talks I have heard were without visualizations (unless they drew on a chalk board). Prior to the digital media it was hard to make slides (both costly and time-consuming). Tufte did the next best thing and passed out graphs. I do not think there were any slides.
