I got stucked in step 5 of adding the Nano for the first time. So steps 1 - 4 are working, my phone is connected back to my WiFi and then step 5 does not finish, always showing 80% of network progress. Can you help?
Are you connecting to the WiFi of the laser?
Yes, of course. After that I switch back to normal Wifi as instructed by the app.
@@higginsdeI’m not sure when the app is prompting you to switch to regular wifi. I stayed connected to the nano’s WiFi the whole time. Once connected to the nano Wifi, I put in the ip address of the nano to connect.
Yes. Also there’s an option to do a center point in the app where you can align the center of what you are engraving with the laser dot. This too is a very helpful feature that is lacking in lightburn. I’m glad to have installed LaserBurn just to see these features!
Amazing to see the preview going so fast. Be awesome if the get the settings for light burn to act that fast. Maybe its because there is some extra processing to go from galvo to gcode for light burn, as we don’t need a licence for galvo version the normal light burn works so there must be some process to convert from one to the other. Anyway good video. @longer please remove the need for location you know where you sent each laser already :-)
Pretty🥰
Hey, do you have any tips for a total noob in terms of settings and power? I did the power vs. speed test, but it cut through the board and almost caught fire. If you could help out and do a video, that would be great.
For sure, I can do that.
If you have the pro version, I engrave Baltic birch at 10000 mm/min at 80% power. Cut 3mm at 300mm/min at 80%. Most wood will be close to that. I’ve also found it helpful to blow a fan on it to dissipate the smoke. I just use the large fan in my workshop, but I think a desk fan would work fine.
@BowerLaserProductsLLC what about glass, like thin wine glasses/ cups. I want to personalise the glassware for my home bar 😅 I'm a 3d printer kind of guy so this is a little new for me. Many thanks and appreciate the response and assistance.
@@S_pikagood idea for a future video! I’m still waiting for my rotary, that will be the first video I film when I get it!
@BowerLaserProductsLLC I did want the rotary accessory, I just couldn't justify the costs & shipping. So will be interesting to see how you/people get on
Where abouts are you located I have been waiting for mine for months. Was a backer pretty early on.
I’m in the US, Michigan to be exact. Did you order the pro? Also I heard if you ordered the package (with all the accessories) it took longer to go out. I’m still waiting on a rotary myself.
Nice job on the video! I enjoyed watching the Light Burn settings too. Really helpful. I subscribed! Keep up the good work! Side note, I'm from Michigan too! :-D 👋I'll be releasing my own Nano Pro review video soon as well. Take care!
That’s also a love neat design and the font works well. Have your tried to use the nano to cut the or is it slightly to much for it? In other co2 will make light work of it as it’s also gantry and 100watt. Thank you for sharing your work and idea.
I have cut ornaments with the nano pro as a test, and it will cut OK. It does a decent job of it, but it doesn't compare to cutting sheets of ornaments on the CO2. It's just way faster and cleaner.
Good job! The larger Christmas decoration, seems to of engraved the text less on the left hand side? I wonder is that at the edge of its capabilities? Is that within the 100x100 area or just on the edge of it is so I wonder if the project piece might need to be slightly alighted a tiny bit to the right of the middle to allow maximum cutting depth at edges? Is there a few tests you could possible do to see absolute max from left to right and up and down. Great tests on the materials for cutting power and speed. If you ever get time and you make more videos would you mind sharing speed and power for your videos it would benefit everyone. Thanks for sharing and I trust you will enjoy your unit!
Actually the text was fine, I ran it on my belt sander just to get the burn off, and it's pretty aggressive. I wouldn't do that normally. It went too deep on the one side. You'll notice it broke some of the intricate parts off too. Usually I use a magic eraser for the more intricate designs like this one, but didn't have one available for the video. I definitely will share more as I go, and I'll include settings. Thanks for watching!
Nice jewelry box!
