Why don’t you fab. Stuff for 40’s& 50’s GM trucks?
Would love to go through you metal ben
Love the look! Wheels and amber lights look good. Was cool talking to you at the Marion show, wish it would have made it. Running your rear suspension stuff saving for front now. Sub'd.
What engine and exhaust is on that beauty! Love your videos!
The engine is out of a Camaro, has a unknown cam with black widow mufflers. Wish I knew more but bought it like that.
Love the squarebody! Subscribed!
Thank you!
What size are the Cooper Cobras?
I couldn't say sorry. We have sold them since.
Wanna know more about these control arms?!
Incoming.
Project Snowball! I like it 😀 The wheels look amazing. Yup you're too old, needs to be lower lol. Looking forward to the next episode. I don't think you mentioned the back spacing on the wheels Please.
The fronts are 20x8 with 4.25 backspacing. The rears are 20x10 with 5.5 backspacing. Everything fit really well at those numbers for us.
New subscriber to your channel and longtime UPS man. If your delivery man is a cool guy, he might give you his phone number so you could go to him early in the morning and get your parts off his truck. I had many people over the years call me for a meet up to get their packages! 8 Ball is looking sharp! I’ll be ordering some parts soon for my ‘72 C10!
Could you do a instructional video on your bolt in front air ride for 73-87 Chevy trucks
Should have pulled the arms cleaned them and repaint them
We would have, but we do not plan to keep them on the truck. We where trying to make a show before we install more parts. Thanks for the comment!
its too nice to modify. What a shame😢
Welding a nut to the carriage bolt works too
The inners I got from the truck shop in Nc were JUNK! and my truck is a 73 lol. Holes were inches off in places.
7:00 the scariest part. Taking out the spring!
4:30 "just tap it" (gets out the biggest hammer he has and smacks it! haha! Little tap tappy!
Do you know off hand how much extra height you get for tire clearance swapping the inner fenders? Thanks good video
We found out it was no extra height, but several inches more towards the inside of the truck which helps with turning.
Hello I am planning on dropping my 86 dually where did you get the inner fenders I can’t seem to find them. Thanks!
autometaldirect.com
You all provide just enough detail !!!! Killer stuff. Still undecided. I have been stock my whole life. Maybe I just need another truck to tinker with …..
Awesome so glad I found your channel. I just finished filming this weeks video using one of your flip kits on my 87 surburban build, Great Product, worked Awesome. Plan on buying mor for my 3 other c10s lol!!
Wow cares…. It’s your truck. You do you bro.
Great video man. I don’t know a lot about square bodies and this helped me understand the rear frame. Looks great!
Lots of great tips in here!! The mad scientist segment is how I normally work 🤣🤣
😂😂😂 ha guess what we are cutting it up sorry not sorry slice and dice it
Never heard of using the center hole of the flip kit for a 56” spring. The distance from the front eye to the centering pin should be the same on both 52” and 56” springs.
That is correct, the center pin is the same distance if measured from the front leaf spring bushing. Although if you use the offset hole on a 56" spring it will put your tire to far back in the wheel opening. A leaf spring will flatten as weight is applied and with this you need that center hole in the flip kit to get that tire in the opening perfect. We have found that is a 1" difference between using a 52" or 56". Thanks!
@@tinworksfabrication if the center pin is the same distance from the front hanger on both 52” and 56”,… how can the rear axle be 1” farther back on the 56” spring. That doesn’t make sense.
@@lolife999 As a leaf spring flattens it will become longer. The front of a leaf spring is fixed and cant move. The rear has a shackle that pivots, and as weight is applied to the spring it flattens out and moves the axle backwards. We just used the center hole on a 1978 c20 suburban that had 56" springs and the wheel was perfectly centered. Thanks
@@tinworksfabrication yeah I understand the leaf spring getting longer as it flattens out,… but it’s the same distance. The length behind the axles doesn’t affect rear axle placement. The distance from the front hanger to the pin does. I could see stock shackle to drop shackle affecting it, slightly. Love your products.
@@lolife999For reference a 12 inch true length line in a arc is shorter than a 12" true length line in a straight line. Thank you for the support and I am happy to continue this over the phone if you would like. Please give us a call!
Rear shock extension needs a crush tube through the factory bolt holes to keep from collapsing the bracket. A cardboard pattern for the c-notch would be a great addition also.
Hey bud, we do include a spacer in our shock relocator kit. Looks like it was hidden behind the leaf spring in our footage. We are also happy to say we are currently going through all of our products so they include detailed color instructions and templates. Thanks for the comment!
Yes, Chevy uses blue locktite on all bed bolts. It's really annoying.
So glad you are starting to put some content out on this platform! Been a fan (and customer) of your products for a while now. Even more rad you are in Iowa (like me)
Crew cab inner frame stiffener 😢
Square body is by far the best looking old pickup aroubt
