It would have helped to turn the volume down on the unit because it was difficult to understand anything when you and her were talking at the same time.
Check your connection under the dash, make sure it’s plugged in correctly, we have a kenworth that does this all the time, I just play with key, cycle it between on and off till it comes on
When that "Performance Monitoring" pops up. Click NO...unless you were specifically driving the vehicle while logged off. Otherwise click no. Clicking no means that time that its showing will not be taken away from your 70. Plus, your clock won't start.
Of course I'm now realizing this is years old. I'm just trying to connect my phone hotspot so the qualcomm can have wifi. I have full 5G connection & ELD isn't receiving a signal
Thank you for this. Just started a new job as logs compliance office, and the last time I was around an ELD device was a Qualcomm in a Werner truck over 14 yrs ago. This video is very informative, in case my drivers need help. So again, thank you.
I hate this log system. I like the company I'm working with, but I hate this Omnitracs system. I've worked with Keep Trucking and Big Road, the best. They have a "Yard move 5 miles" option. Omnitracs doesn't. As soon as you move 0.0000000001 mph, it lauches the driving mode and it screws your log!
I was driving for CRST afew months ago and I had a trainer who didn't want to teach me anything on the Qualcomm !! He would be really dry with me saying Figure it out !! Figure it out !! I was so discusseded with this young dude from Jamaica trying to talk down to me like I was a nobody !! I had to get off his truck I saw some problems getting ready to pop up with him !!
I was done the same way with my KLLM trainer I really feel disgusted that this guy wouldn't help me learn what I needed to learn but he made me feel incompetent.
@@frederickwatkins2017 I got a question if you'd br able to help me out. The local job where I work, they are going by the 14 hour clock and not by the 11 hour drive clock and I have to put in the exemption when I still have 3 to 4 hours sometimes 5 hrs of drive time left. Is that right or am I doing something wrong
@@26glockster if you are hauling exempt items ,such as food or other "essential " items to a food store you have to have an official letter to be exempt from the 14 hour rule , if you get pulled over and you are past your 14 hour rule ,your day will end bad very fast!! Hope that helps you out
As soon as you put in on duty not driving activity, your 14 hour starts ticking ,no matter if you are ready to drive or not ,theres nothing you can do " legally " to stop it ..
Thank you so much. Just have a question. With flatbed you need to stop every 4 hours. And check the load. But what do you fill in Rest? Or you fill in that you checked the load?
Its a way u can make that pacific qualcom talk to you like a normal person in settings i know cause my coworkers have one in his truck and he says Goodmorning Omnitracs .... she says “GOODMORNING HOW ARE YOU TODAY “
Thank you

Great video. Worked for me!

I am still trying to understand how to take break.
What does the Blue, Green or Red light colors around the Home Button mean?
You need to cut that sound off of the woman talking. Couldn’t hear a word you were saying while she was talking

So the time starts counting down even if your not ready to drive, how do you not lose that time?
Soon as you start your 14 hour clock it's going to keep counting down, theres no way to stop it

How do u reset it?
Omnitracs ROCKS!!!
Is this the new updated format?
Very helpful,thankyou!
Does it tracks the total miles you drove in each state?
Dont think itll track for each state but it will track total miles for that day
Thank you so much. Just have a question. With flatbed you need to stop every 4 hours. And check the load. But what do you fill in Rest? Or you fill in that you checked the load?
I go on duty, not driving, and put in notes I am checking the load.
What model are you using?

DOES IT ASK HOW MUCH FUEL WAS ADDED WHEN LOGGING A FUEL STOP? THIS WILL AID IN IFTA REPORTING
Is there a off duty driving option like old ones
