The problem in most Churches of God in Christ is *NOT* "witchcraft" "witches" and "warlocks"....not at all. The problem is a lack of *HOLINESS* ....a lack of holy and sanctified, consecrated *LIVING.* We've got talent, skills, education, money, big hats, shiny outfits, massive jewelry, grand cathedrals and church buildings, TV programs, radio programs, websites, media ministries, worldclass musicians, we've got everything but a *_Holy Life,_* a life that is lived free and separated from sin and shame, dedicated fully unto the Lord. That's the problem. The Church is backslidden, given unto worldliness, carnality, fleshliness and iniquity. That's why we have no Power, that's why the supernatural and miraculous doesn't happen in our services, that's why most people whom we pray for are not healed, no blinded eyes coming open, deaf ears hearing, dumb tongue speaking, lame and halt leaping, no demons casted out, no Shekinah Glory falling like rain in our worship - and I mean the *REAL* Shekinah glory, not that fake stuff we see so much of today - no souls bound with chains of darkness loosed and delivered by the anointing of God and the *POWER* of the Holy Ghost....we see none of that today like we did in the days of Old. No, today flesh *RULES* in our assemblies, no prayer, no fasting, no shut-ins, no tarrying, no obedience, no evangelistic zeal or burden for souls, no modesty or shamefacedness, no virtue or sexual purity, no hunger for a true uncompromising Word from God, no genuine Holiness teaching and preaching..... *_JUST FLESH._* And witches and warlocks didn't do that to us, we did it to our selves. We're backslidden, just like the Church of Laodicea. We have abandoned the God of our Fathers and what they taught us and the example of righteousness they lived before us; and instead, have sold our souls to devil and given ourselves over to the filth and abominations of the world and Satan's bondage. If our founder, Bishop Mason, along with Mother Lizzie Robinson and all the other pioneering Patriarchs and Matriarchs who preached and prayed this church out and sacrificed so much to birth this work and establish it upon a foundation of pure Holiness, were to come back from their graves and observe us today, they would call us *_ALL_* "backslidders" and put us *_ALL_* on the altar and make us tarry for the Holy Ghost; they wouldn't even recognize the Church which they themselves labored so hard and gave so much to build. The Church would be *Ichabod* in their sanctified eyes. So, in all honesty, that's our problem, from the Presiding Bishop and General Board on down to the least lay-member, nothing but flesh, carnality and worldliness. That's the *_REAL_* problem.....and Supervisor Gatlin is a part of it.
