    A Huge thank you for this video! I recently moved to Wyoming and have been trying to understand the resident process (though I won’t technically be a resident for a while still). All the other videos I could find focus on the non-resident process. You also answered a number of questions I didn’t know I had. Thanks again!

      Greater sage grouse aren’t endangered but near threatened. Gunnison sage grouse are endangered and are native to Colorado and eastern Utah. Greater sage grouse are native to Wyoming where this is. Not gunnison.

    Is there a quick way to find out what units are less than 5 points or less for 100% draw?

      Hey Chris! The best way to find that information would be either manually exporting the spreadsheet from WGFD or purchasing one of the many draw odds software, like GoHunt, TopRut, etc.

    Trying to just buy a preference point this year for Antelope (non-resident), I have created a ID and can login, I do not see an option to just buy an Antelope preference point? Though that option is open from July 1 - November 1?

      Good question becuase it changed this year! When you log in, go to your Dashboard. On the bottom of the Dashboard page there's a blue bar that says "Preference Points" and there's an option to purchase them there (desktop view).

    Cattle ranchers are destroying the ecosystems. And the native plants. They need to stay out of the mountians and learn to live with wild life. Ranchers want to kill gizzly bear that are protected. Ranchers want want but do not care about protecting wild life. We have a huge lawsuits going against ranchers. So all isn't true in this video

    So is this from "I hunted every day of the season and shot a limit all but like one or two days" year? Is that truly ethical on an individual basis? I get it, we've all been in the "tag it and bag" "limits or bust" phase of hunting. But seriously, please don't shoot 15 sage grouse in 11 days.

    • @wyomingwildlifefederation2678
      @wyomingwildlifefederation2678 3 года назад

      Hey Jack! Its a real concern, for sure. This crew spent three days and walked 25 miles before getting into any birds. They were not in that limit-out camp at all. Appreciate the comment!

      Yall must've missed Mr steins wonderful admission on the project uptard podcast where he said "I limited every day of the season, except for one or two days". No wonder these guys didn't see many birds where he sent them. Shocker, Sam blasted them all.

    I've had the privilege of elk hunting with Meade. There is absolutely no doubt how much he respects all of these animals. Meade is not shy to demonstrate his love and respect during all aspects of the hunt. From his history lessons to that special moment you share to acknowledge what that animal has sacrificed for you at the completion of your hunt. If you get the chance to hunt with his outfit, do yourself a favor and jump at the opportunity, I'm so glad I did.
