LUCKY YOU!! V&H discontinued pipes for our V-stars. That sounds AWESOME!!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Picked up a new one in March, just rode to west coast from Niagara Falls Ontario and back, No issues, thru the mountains at between 3 and 3500 rpm corners well and braking is fabulous.n Put some lock tight on the aerial, it does come loose.
I sat on anR18B today in the showroom, I am 6'3, 35" inseam. I felt like it fit me in like a glove, but did not test drive it. My Guzzi California 1100 had odd ergonomics and floorboards but it never bothered me. I just got used to it. I loved the bike too much to care. The R18 is like a Bentley. R18 heel-toe shifter is fully adjustable.
Where did you get your back rest
I absolutely love my 22 plate blaze orange one. Everyone tells me how beautiful it is which it actually is. Handles brilliantly, fast as I would ever need and great mpg. Cruise control is my only gripe, faffing around trying to get it back on after changing down is downright dangerous.
Sold my fully customized Harley bagger for one of these. Reliable, doesn't rattle the bolts loose, and not paying HD (hundred dollars) for parts 😂 Ride safe 😎
Great machine!
Obviously, it's NOT that "overlooked." I saw one for sale, and knew that was my next bike. I bought my 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager 1700 3 months ago, and it is BY FAR "THE BEST" motorcycle that I have ever owned! And I've owned Harley's, Honda's, Yamaha's, Kawasaki's, and a Triumph! Big bikes and small bikes and everything in between. And I'll take my Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager 1700 over ANY other bike I've ever owned or ridden. And since I bought this one, I've noticed that there are quite a few of them on the road. BTW, the "K-ACT" is not the "Suspension System," it's the "Anti-Lock Braking System." The computer controls the braking system. And if you only apply either the rear brake OR the front brake, the K-ACT system automatically applies the other wheel with equal brake pressure! It helps to keep the brakes from locking up and keep you stopping straight. The Key and Ignition switch have a unique feature also. You have to use the key to turn the ignition to the "Accessory" or on "Position." But then you can REMOVE THE KEY and put it in your pocket and ride away. When you stop and shut it off, you can turn the Ignition switch to the "Off" position without using the key. But you do have to use the key to turn it back on. It's a feature to help prevent losing your key, or having your keys rattle around on the chrome bezel. I think you'll like the way it rides, handles, and has plenty of power for cruising, and it's comfortable! I had a Yamaha1700 and I had to have the seat redone to make it comfortable. Not with the Kawasaki. I've ridden 7 hours straight and my "arse" and "back" were not hurting. Best wishes!
Tech does not belong on motorcycles.
I had a 2020 crew and had a mixed experience with it. Pros were ride quality, fuel economy, space, packaging, quietness, seat setup, maintenance intervals, brake performance, handling (for such a large machine) and my local dealer. Cons were low ground clearance (which has been fixed), zero engine braking (a safety issue in the hilly terrain of western Newfoundland) and silly durability issues which spoiled the experience for me. The major mechanical problems were 1. cheap bearings - I had to replace two front wheel bearings and the drive shaft steady bearing within 3000 km. 2. Front a-arm bushings were also worn out by 3000 km and are not sold separately - you have to replace the a-arms. 3. The steering rack also developed excessive play by 3000 km and was replaced. Everything mentioned above was covered under warranty just before it expired and it was at that point that I decided I didn't want to have to deal with repair bills in the thousands two years down the road so I traded it on a Yamaha. It's really too bad that Cat (and certain other manufacturers) nickel and dime customers by sourcing components based on price alone. If Cat had used top shelf bushings, bearings, etc. I would have been a long term customer since I really did like the machine and was sad to see it go. They would also save money on warranty claims by using better components since they wouldn't be paying dealers so much for labour.
Looks great! I hope they use that across their lineup!
Sat on this exact bike yesterday, really love it, EXCEPT that HIDEOUS head light, i know ya don’t see when you are riding and the rest of the bike is like that smoking hot body chick thats cool but she has a wicked beak of a nose that seems to always be lookin at you 😂
Got a 2023. Absolutely love how quiet they are. For what seems like a relatively plane bench seat they are comfortable. You can mod them to have a locking front differential also.
Hello, Where I ca get like this windshield? Thank you.
Nice ride.
The XX is a great riding machine, love mine!
Good
Nice but I would take a goldwing over that thanks john
And you gonna pay more
I had a 70 notch back coup with a 351 Windsor. Miss it every day.
It’s a great bike. I own the same year and color. Hard to believe they stopped making them as it has great features and rides very well and I think it’s one of the best bikes in its class.
I have 6000 miles on my R18 TC. The seating position is cramped and not comfortable for more than an hour at a time and I’m 5’11”. The connectivity for the nav and music interface on the TFT is unusable. Other than those two issues I find it to be a fine bike. I also have a Road King and Road Glide. The Harleys are more comfortable but do not handle or perform as well as the R18 in their stock configurations.
Bought the same bike in orange 5 days ago, love it so far ☺️ thanks for the review
Orange one owner here too :)
Don’t forget you can store those seat bottoms behind the back rest!
Less talk and showing your face and show the bike ..
I test ride on just like this when they first came out, great looking BMW but I couldn’t get my feet under the shifter to shift so I had to use the heel shifter. Other than that it’s a really good and comfortable bagger .
It’s meant to be a heel/toe shifter, its not meant to put your foot under the shifter.
@@nedbagno5286 that’s not the dealer told me , they said it’s adjustable so you can shift if you’re boot don’t fit.
@@Letsgetit1600 There is an adjustment, but if it has floorboards, that won’t work out very well. If you adjust it up to get your boot under the shifter, you just put it closer to the cylinder head, making it hard to get your toe on top. The owner's manual describes how to use the heel-toe shift, which is easy anyway. I suppose either will work as long as the shoe fits.
@@nedbagno5286if the shoe fits it’s all good.
Take a ride on a Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager vn1700.
That vibration above 3000 RPMs is what gets me,it's like a giant vibrator. I tried full synthetic oil and that helped a little.Other than that I like the bike it offers a lot of features and I got a really good discount on mine being a demo.
Good looking
I have a 2013 and absolutely love it . There needs to be more aftermarket accessories, other than that I have no complaints. I have owned a HD Ultra Classic and they are very similar. The biggest difference is reliability. Not many are aware, but the Voyager is assembled here in the U.S.
Goddamn its beautiful 😍😍 to bad i have the balance of retarded potato or else id buy one😂
It’s nice but it ain’t a Harley
and thats the point
prefer the vulcan..cheaper with no issues....
Yeah, it'll stay running 😂😂😂
Actually a quite good review. Thanks, and deserves more comments
The Cobra slip on sounds much better.
Bought a 2012 last spring for 800.00 dollars. It was in a deer accident and had front fairing damage. I spent 1300.00 in parts and a afternoon replacing plastic. So for the grand total of 2100.00 dollars I’ve got a pretty decent bike. I’ve been a Harley guy since the early 80’s and after riding this bike the Harley has kinda been put out to pasture. Never thought I’d trade brands.
Not a fan of the exhaust wrap. Takes away from the beauty of the bike.
Have a '22 DL650 Adventure. Took it on a 2500 mile really hard trip fully loaded and with extra fuel. 105 degree heat all day long to 10k foot mountain passes. Pulled the high elevation grades like a champ. Super comfy and I still say, 3rd gen 650's are excellent looking bikes. Have a bike with a cool TFT dash and I still prefer the DL's setup. Proud to ride one.
It does sound good, not too load.
One of the best motorcycles ever made in the world. A legend.
Totally agree!
Well done from the UK, you have my respect!
Thank you sir. Much appreciated
This bike is 2024 colour line up 😂
Yes, for the US market.
Which Hotels are the best to stay during kool deadwood nights car show?
The Franklin is a nice stay for a vintage feel or if you want something updated, the Tin Lizzy.

Thanks for sharing. I know that now.
Very lovely 👍
No riding footage? Cmon
Sorry but I don't have the right camera yet. Working to get there. Thanks for watching.
I wish Suzuki bring a Vstrom 400
That model is not available in the USA.
I agree mate, great bikes . If I could have another bike I would have one in my shed. I have a GSX S 1000 but would love the Vstrom as well. Greetings from South Australia. Take care Mate.
Thanks for commenting. All the Best
There's no cam chain rattle because it has no cam chains. The cams are gear driven. Brilliant feature IMHO.
Well that makes total sense then. Thanks for the info.
Tensioned chain is from crank to idler gear, then gear driven to cams. Delightful design. That's why they're indestructible.
Saw it in person looks good, i still prefer my 2021 RB basic...
Great info. Thank you for sharing.
