At the airport, the x-ray machines will pick up all the stashed money and will look suspicious so you risk being set aside for a thorough inspection.
Never happened. Airports don't care about $200 being stashed away. And these 14 ways are meant to be setup once you get there not going through TSA. X-Rays do pickup pretty much everything tho so I'm glad you spotlighted that
Good point. Hence I was reminded to only do this at my hotel. Cos I usually check my luggage at the hotel lobby. -Assuming I can get to the hotel before I got mugged. 😅

Number 14 is the only one you can use if you're traveling abroad and you're going to be exchanging money. The other ones will not be suitable because the money will be folded and not in perfect condition

you have to put your belts in the bin for TSA to go through won't they steal your money out of your money belt
No TSA typically won't steal your stuff right in front of you. And this is meant for once you get to your destination and are walking around! lol

For just $100 ? What about $1000? What about airport security x rays?
Airport security doesn't care if you carry your own cash under 10000 dollars
or you can wait till you get to your hotel and then put the money into the various places, just don't wait too long once you arrive at your destination.

When traveling you should always have something held back just incase you get mugged, robbed etc. Not everybody has the luxury of room with a safe etc & may be staying in shared accommodation/hostels/seedy motels a la younger backpackers. Under such circumstances, stashing something for emergencies is a prudent move. Stop being an elitist snob granny!
