I played through this game twice and absolutely loved it.

A thing i haven't seen someone comment on yet is the hardness of the lines "It is meant to bring certainty where there is none. For you, the certainty that i would always come for it"

Spoilers for act 1 of Veilguard: . . . . . . . It is extremely bizarre that act 1 of Veilguard follows a similar plot beat, with an old mage showing up with a corrupted dragon to steal something (dagger / power to close or open rift) from you. It makes it blatantly obvious how the execution in Veilguard is much worse, as there is not much set up: you enter the area, you fight the dragon, and the elven gods have terribly mediocre lines. And they leave for no reason, without your dagger.

This is the best speech ever delivered

Everyone (me included) loves the throne of the gods line. But can we get some more love for “…what you flail at rifts, I crafted to assault the very heavens!”

Coming from the Veilguard, I do miss the gravity of this antagonist presence "Exalt, the Elder One. The will that is Corypheus"

So thankful we got this before dialogue became "thhis guy goes hard"

That reveal of the golden city not being the makers throne gave me chills.

I just watched the Dragon Age Veilguard cutscene (SPOILER) where you encounter the dragon attacking the city and you meet one of the gods... Holy shit, Veilguard is trash. Absolute trash. I immediately thought of this scene with Corypheus and it's night and day. I'm so sad and disappointed. We've waited 10 years for this pile of hot garbage.

My first reaction to Corypheus appearing in Inquisition was 'WAIT, WHAT?! HE'S STILL ALIVE!'.

Why does he do the poop walk out of the fire?

All well written lines should be followed by someone getting yeeted

Honestly, him moving through the smoke and flames would have been way more amazing if they did not show him before that point during the mountain shots. Just having him being revealed for the first time during that shot with the smoke and flames would have been such a big shock on top of the epicness from the scene.

1:06 kirkwall’s circle? you don’t know shit about demons, Kirkwall’s circle cares more about imprisoning mages and treating them like criminals more than having the mages learn

Man, I just wish we could have got a small cameo of the Architect, who went down a completely different path. Would of been very interesting to see that confrontation

"Beg that I succeed, for I have seen the throne of the gods, and it was empty." ... epic line... but if you truly think about it... very stupid. So you found it empty... yet someone BUILD a THRONE for GOD... and it wasn't you, so who was it? Someone of great power, yes? Maybe a being someone woul call... god? Maybe the Maker just had enough and walked away.

Corypheus was one of the worst villians Bioware ever created.

Corypheus' introduction in this game was brilliant. It's such a shame Bioware completely fumbled afterwards

Now that, is how you enunciate with impact. Far from perfect game but writing and voice acting is excellent.

Too bad this guy basically ended up being the Team Rocket of the Dragon Age Universe, he just has Ls through the whole game except for the Haven siege.

Thankyou, I just beat that dragon and the cutscene didn’t have the dragon or Corypheus, they were just invisible. It just looked like a floaty red storm flew to the bridge and started talking 😂

I love Cole as a character but this scene specifically, I find him the most relatable, he's hurt people in the past and he doesn't want to let it happen again.

3:08 I'm sorry I don't remember him being like, 10 feet tall in Dragon Age II. Corphy been eating his Wheaties it seems.

Man these later DA games were shells to what Bioware did with Mass Effect and DA:Origins. They're just so generic looking, shallow and silly.

The herald/inquisitor is so PATHETIC in this confrontation. My god its terrible. Who could not look at this and not think they look timid and weak. Even if you select aggressive options. The only remotely ballsy line is when you strike the trebuchet.

Girls act weak and speak high-pitched voice around men they like. Girls around me: 3:00

My only criticism is we didn't get more of him in this game. Outside this and the ending it was very sparse. Cause this scene and that speech was fire. I wanted more. Lol

After playing DA2 and having the sinking feeling Corypheus escaped in the body of a warden I was shaken by his return in Inquisition.

I get we need to escape but why he throw the Inquisitor like that and just not well... permanently log them off?

I accidentally told her to drop it but then I just kept it, cuz it felt like it was exactly what my character would say. She was feeling super pissy and still confused. She did of course make it up to Sera, cuz they're besties, but in the moment....NOPE, not talking.

Why would they have a trebuchet aimed at the mountains in the first place? GOT Season 8 tactics?
