[3] 2023 Stacking Recap MORE SILVER!
Living in Australia you can't beat the kangaroo for lowest premiums, but they're ugly. I love the Canadian maple and American buffalo, and eventually I'll just have to ignore the premiums and buy some.
The other world coins are viable cost wise in Australia except the USA and Mexico. Canadian Maples hands down the best in the world imo
IS THERE ANY AUSSIE GOLD STACKERS?
500 ounces dude.
Getting there. Not gonna buy some for a while gonna diversify in case silver cripples to $23-25 again
@@aussiesilverstacker I meant 500 ounces in a Tomahawk missile. I didn't clarify what I was saying
There's Hobart mint which do rounds but the premiums are higher than Kangaroos.
As much as I'd like to help this startup, I'm a person who buys lowest premiums possible (for now) especially when money is getting tighter. I'll definitely consider some of their items in the future for a video (when I have time)
I like it
Thanks for the Support
🥈👏👍
The Perthmint 1oz Kangaroo standard coin is one of the best to stack, cheaper than the other Perthmint coins more recognisable, I buy them by the tube and leave tube unopened I call them my stack stash, Then I have my collector coins which I personally would find hard to sell as they are part of my collection.
Lucky ducky. Is 52.5$ a kangaroo average?
That's a really good price for a 1oz skippy at the current price. You'll never buy government mint coins or bullion at or below spot unless the seller knows nothing about premiums 😂.
Small suggestion, when showing coins, rounds or bars in front of the camera, keep them steady for a few seconds for the viewer to appreciate them as much as you do. Great content, and good luck on your stacking journey!
Thanks heaps for the feedback I'll definitely consider that for future videos.
Hey mate, I’m enjoying the content man. Looking forward to some more posts. Also a Aussie stacker I’m 22 and have been stacking for 1 year. Keep it up
Thanks for the Support mate. Great to see a fellow stacker in Aus.
Welcome back!
Thanks
Good to see you back mate. Your stack is coming along well.
Thanks man. Yeah grabbed a lot when silver dropped back to USD$28ish, might be a long while (if ever) we see silver go back to USD$23. Thanks again for the support
$100 an oz within 30 years? I don’t think you’ll be waiting that long. Smart choice in hoarding silver. You are one of the intelligent ones!
I gave a large timeframe for a near guaranteed return but obviously it may reach there way way earlier. I set that target assuming there is a 3-4% yearly gain but in todays context that sounds very conservative when you hear much price saturation in the stacking community about silver shooting to the moon and breaking out. I probably wont be waiting that long but its probably better than "year until silver becomes unaffordable for most commoners" xD putting unneeded pressures on. gives peace of mind when stacking ig
Nice!
thanks!
Good start, keep stacking, you’ll be happy u did very shortly.
Got in before the ^$30+ rush at around $23/oz average (USD)... Very much happy 😄
Great collection. Too bad the 200 gram gold bar isn’t real.,
Lol if only
Gold because its the rarest and i can make it into jewelry
Awesome. Do you do custom orders?
Gday mate nice to meet you , I am a Perth silver stacker 👍
Howdy, great to hear people stacking over there! Stacking from Tasmania here
Very nice
Indeed
Keep it up mate, good one!
Good on you mate. You were a big influence to get me starting a channel. Thanks!
Thanks legend, great to see more people coming together in the stacking community and starting Channels
Good to see you.
Welcome back!
I keep the largest portion of my stack in a local private insured vault. There's a degree of counterparty risk but you also have to consider the implications if the owners who have been known in the local community for decades were to screw over the hundreds of locals using them to protect their valuables. I live in America where many who own precious metals also own guns. I do agree with not keeping all your valuables in one place.
Nothing will happen to your stash underground. lol
Facts, just gotta find the right place
For stacking I’m not a fan of fractional (excluding predecimal) or scrap, you may find this when you try and sell. The 1Kg 999 bars are awesome. If you have not already get an account with Perth Mint and RAM, it’s free.
Good on you for seeing the value in previous metals at such a young age, wish I did.
American Silver Eagles!
Expensive here, but are the most trusted and widespread for sure
I subscribe to your channel. I have some too, if you want you can take a look at my collection of Italian euro coins and more.. Thanks and good video
I’ve kept my gold in a safe deposit box for years. I’m also storing some other items I would put in a safe deposit box anyway, so the cost to also store my gold is negligible.
Better hope the bank don’t close!
You need to protect your PM’s from the politicians just as much as from the common thieves
Politicians ARE common thieves…
Floor safe is the best option. In a house I used to live in, there was a small closet. The house was on a concrete pad (if yours isn't, you'll have to frame it up to pour concrete). Rented a jackhammer and made the opening in the floor closet. Extra space dug out for extra concrete. Placed the safe in the hole, and began filling with concrete. Added old railroad spikes, rebar pieces, and chromium wrenches to the concrete as I poured it in. Anyone trying to jackhammer that safe out would just keep breaking bits. Turned out real nice. As an extra layer of concealment, I then made a linoleum floor for the closet, which goes over and covers the safe. Then carpet. Anyone lifting the carpet would see linoleum and figure that was it... just a floor. Then I bought a full length mirror and screwed it to the wall... making the closet disappear. All the closet space above the safe served as a gun safe. Totally invisible. Next step (vital) is to buy a cheaper safe placed more obviously and easily found. This is the bait safe, filled with maybe a few hundred bucks of cash, a fake Rolex, maybe some fake gold coins and jewelry. Thieves will spend all their time on this safe. If they can bust it loose, they'll leave with it. Problem solved.
In that circumstance then yes. your safe is "safe". Ig for my situation i'm prioritising stacking over fleshed out security. if I were to have a safe, it would probably be a floor safe ngl
Slap’s “Eleven Rules For Storing Gold & Silver At Home” 1) A safe advertises hidden valuables, but if you must use a safe, bolt it down and load it with VERY heavy weights. 2) Store some decoy/sacrificial coins/cheap jewelry in an easy-to-find location. Then hide the good stuff well. 3) Unless you use a safe, NEVER hide your stash in a bedroom or bedroom closet. 4) Same as #3, but insert “study” and “pantry”. 5) Forget hollowed-out books, fake soup cans, etc… your stack will be stolen in less than 5 minutes. 6) If using a desk, bookcase or shelf, make sure your hiding spot won’t be revealed if these are tipped over. Because they WILL be tipped over. 7) You WILL want frequent access to your stash (to add to it, look at it, or (god forbid) take from it)… don’t make access difficult (behind drywall, buried in the yard, need a sledgehammer to get to it, etc.). 8) Unless using a safe, the best spots are in plain sight and LIKELY TO BE OVERLOOKED, or they’re multi-layered (meaning you have to move this, shift that, lift this and open that in order to access your stash). 9) Make sure someone you trust (spouse, financial planner, estate attorney, etc) has a sealed “open in the event of my death” letter describing where your stash is hidden. 10) With the exception of #9 above, NEVER EVER talk about your stash or that it’s in your home. 11) Never use a hiding spot that can be discovered by a contractor doing work in your house or yard. KEEP IN MIND: The average home burglary in the US lasts just 11 minutes! Thieves want a quick hit-and-run.
Exactly. I would debate 5 as it depends on what item it is (fake books and stuff are pretty obvious at this point lol, kinda mixes into point 8 with where to hide and what to use). Point 1 "A safe is not "Safe"" most of the time which I totally agree with. 9) An excellent idea, should have went more in depth with that one. I have trust issues lmfao. 7) yes and no it really depends in a way, for me I have a portion easily available, but of course the rest of the stack easy enough access to check up every month or so. 11 is a really good point that I should have mentioned. happy stacking
#9. Please do this, or something like it . My friends and family that flip houses have found a lot of gold and silver in walls and under floors. The people this should have been left to had no idea it existed.
Hi from Ukraine!Nice video/ In Ukraine silver matket is terrible! For example 1 american eagle costs 42$!!!
Damn that's a horrible deal! Best of luck for future prospects
Definitely not shaky anymore, cheers!
all good. happy stacking
Ammo drawer in the gun safe.
interesting idea
Some good points for sure.
Thanks
Australia has great gold/silver prospects, lots of potential there but that dang kangaroo just doesn't do it for me😁 I keep looking at it but I never purchase. I'd prefer a Koala or even a huge mud crab. Kangaroos are for girls 😂 Love your content 🤙
It's an ugly design. If they made the silver one with the gold design would be way better
@@aussiesilverstacker Agreed. I actually want to live in Australia. You can literally live off the beautiful land there🤍(though almost everything will try to harm you haha) I've been raised close to the land and ate almost every animal we had (not pets😁) I'd be a metal detecting freak with a big belly if I lived in the Australian county side💚. Have a good one brother 🤙
Bring on the Mud Crab coin!!🦀
@@dougstacks YES!
@@dougstacks why haven't they hired you in coin design department yet? 😂😂
another great video 🔥🔥
Thanks for the support man!
I'm not sure honestly. I think it's up in the air. I am currently focusing on gold. I really like silver but weight and size value wise is what I'm focusing on.
Agreed. Very hard to guesstimate. But for sure Gold is still pretty important. Yeah I'm going to have to obtain more gold soon because I don't want to make my stashes too large to conceal
I'm thinking of cashing out a couple of hundred ounces of silver in the coming months, seems to be taking up space. I need a few extra bucks to put into my house ranks and maybe will get a little more fractional gold as well. I am aiming to halve my stack but keep the focused collection of series date runs I have and keep adding to them. More of a collection than a stack. Cheers!
Sounds great. Yeah silver takes up so much space which is annoying and an understandable situation. Best of luck with the collection
Give some thought to getting a tripod for your phone/cam it will make your vids easier to watch and give you an extra hand to bring coins into view. You are making good content keep it up!
For sure, I'll probably get one over the next couple weeks, then the camera later. Cheers
@@aussiesilverstacker i got one at kmart today Flexible Tablet and Phone Table/Bench Mount. I just made a first vid its pretty dodgy but uploading now. Thanks you have inspired me to start making vids.
Was only $5
Good start for your stack mate. I think it is pronounced Ainslie not Ansell like the rubber company! I went pretty hard on silver for a while but now mostly collect series like Perth Mint Dragon bars, koalas and wedge tailed eagles. I've been trying to get a few quarter oz gold coins as well. Keep up the vids mate, i subscribed. Thanks.
Yeah, realised that 😂. Yeah I'm going for 1/4 ounce gold as well to balance the stack. Cheers mate!
Kangaroo 🦘
fair enough. Don't mind em but design is quite plain...but silver is silver
Canadian maples.
For The Win 💪🪙
@aussiesilverstacker we're glad to hear of your great experience! Happy stacking!
Maple leaf although I do like the South Africa silver
Awesome! Yeah they're my go-to silver coins rn.
I read Austrian silver stacker so was confused when hearing you talk😂 Worked to many nights in a row now!
