Robert Rockwell plays the grandfather in the Werther's commercial. He is perhaps best known for his role of Philip Boynton on Our Miss Brooks (the TV and original radio series). During the TV western craze of the late '50s, he got a show of his own, Man from Blackhawk, where he played an insurance investigator. (It lasted one season.)

This was a really good, produced piece about Double Dare. I was the Audio Engineer at WHYY TV 12 Studios where we recorded season one 1986, Season two 1987, in WHYY Studio "A" and seasons three and four (and the other flavor DD's 1988 and 1989 in the Studio "A" and the WHYY "Forum Theater" before they moved to Florida. Seasons one and two are my favorites because they were all for kids. No adults allowed except for Marc who's a big kid anyway! These commercials aired 10 days after my 22nd birthday. ABC's lineup included "Geppetto", "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and "The Practice".

These commercials aired a week after Halloween 1999. It was 18 days before Thanksgiving. It was 55 days before the 1st day of the year 2000. I watched ABC's original family movie called "Annie", but it was the more recent version than the 1982 version. They were 17 years apart. The 1999 version was part of "The Wonderful World of Disney". Andie MacDowell appeared on the L'Oreal commercial. Lots of fries and a round plastic ketchup pump jar appeared on the McDonald's commercial. Cory and Topanga got married on "Boy Meets World", which was on its farewell season. That show marked its finale on May 5, 2000. It was part of TGIF. I have the Olsen twin movie called "Passport to Paris". I remember "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", starring Regis Philbin who passed away a few years ago.

I remember watching playhouse Disney as a child Now Granted some of their shows don't hold up too well Book of pooh doesn't hold up too well in my opinion Ditto with mickey mouse Clubhouse (although props for reintroducing obscure Disney characters into the limelight) Jojo circus is another one that doesn't hold up too well I also didn't like my friends tiger and pooh that much either But it's still a great block regardless

I remember the slogan which was this: "If You Ask Us, It Tastes Better". The Buick Regal GS commercial featured the song called "Jessica". I remember the commercials of Band-Aid bandages, L'Oreal Kids and Wrigley's Winterfresh gum. I love Dr. Pepper. The McDonald's slogan was this: "Did Somebody Say 'McDonald's'?".

These commercials aired 3 days after Halloween 1996. It was early in my senior year (1996-97). I've seen the McDonald's commercials that featured the deluxe sandwiches. "The Lion King" made its debut to air on ABC.

Having tracked down almost every Action Park commercial on YT, I agree that this is the highest quality version of what can be called the "first iteration" of AP's most familiar jingle. It differs from later versions in that the syncopation is slower. This was increased as later versions removed the beginning and middle parts of the jingle, leaving just the more up-tempo version of the jingle's ending, which Mulvihill liked best, and which removed most of the jingle's lyrics and singing (which quickly became outdated as commercials evolved). It's that faster-beat version that Mulvihill ended up pasting on to the end of most of his commercials run during the most active years. It's a shame though that this high-quality version posted by Ethan's stops a few milliseconds too early.
