RIP Rabbit
I wanted to upload this video here as well last week but with work and traveling I didn’t make it to it. The auto industry lost a true legend last week and my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family!

If I ever had this problem, good to know. I replaced my Thermostat when I got this code, but it was stuck open and leaking which was my issue.
You are a true mechanic, Ive been searching for 3 days now
Shoot, I’m a nobody, haha! And this was my very first video and terrible quality but when I found it I wanted to share to try and help people and I’m really glad it helped you!! Thanks for the kind words and positive feedback!
I just saw your fucking back the whole process 😏
Dude this music you have is literally unbearable??
My eyes are going crazy ... cant even hold the camera steady...
@@jas_1972 my very first recording on a crappy phone. But it seems a lot of people have been able to utilize the video for their benefit. Even though it’s a negative comment, I appreciate you dropping one. Hopefully it still helped..
Easy job once you know the little tips to remove stuff without breaking anything. lol! Appreciate the video. Had to fix some things and repaint after an incident with a deer trying to commit suicide into my Mustang, and didn’t know the sprayer nozzle wasn’t connected back again after the repairs were done. All is good and spraying like normal. Thank you!
With all those RVs and campers it makes me wonder how many RIDE their bikes to these events!
@@robertweeks2039 I mean, even the NC locals that want to stay all weekend may not be able to ride out and it’s understood. Some people can’t ride for long bits anymore but they’ve kept their machines and take them to shows to ride a little and show them off, but isn’t that what the lifestyle is all about? Some say you’re not a real biker if you don’t ride in the rain…I bought my RG and rode it home in the snow, but I don’t like to be wet riding, so I don’t ride in the rain. I’ve probably ridden more motorcycles than those judgemental people have ever seen. All I’m sayin is, to each is their own, respect one another, and help a brother or sister if they’re in need.
@@StephenRamsey I don't care what your reasoning is and I don't disrespect what those motorhome campers do.That is their business.I have been riding for 55 years and I like to ride my bike the longer the better.I think these RVers don't like to ride or they would ride. What, too old.I think they let "the old man in".I see it all the time on my travels,"oh yea,I used ta" Ride your fuckin' bikes, that is what they are for!
After a $287 million settlement, failing EV division and overall market drop in Harley-Davidson, being woke is the least of their problems.
@@scottmartin8380 yeahhh the EV side I never really understood. I’ve ride motorcycles as long as I can remember (never rode AMF Harley’s but heard of the troubles they had) and I like the feel and sound of a Harley. Going EV for the brand I personally don’t feel made sense. But I was a good laugh vid due to some of the comments the keyboard warriors have been leaving. Good points though! 🤙🏼
You just saved me a LOT of time and money! Mahalo!
@@JamesAtkins483 awesome! Glad this video helped!! 🤙🏼
Not sure the Harley Davidson hashtag is quite trending positively atm
@@Joe-tv3wt eh, it helps with the views which I’m still appreciative of. The company in general isn’t trending well due to 1 person, unfortunately. I still feel that there’s plenty of people that still have the same fundamentals they’ve always had.
Exactly my issue '') Love these WJ's
I own a 2015 Heritage Sofail & Just like most People, I learnt the hard way to always check the keyfob battery first, & I usually find that, that's what the problem usually is, there's usually enough power in the battery to make all the lights light up but not quite enough to start the Bike so I used to think that I needed a new battery for the Bike, but the first time it happened I'd just had it on charge for about 30 hours straight so I thought that the battery was'nt holding the charge but before replacing it I tried changing the keyfob battery first & the engine kicked over straight away so now whenever it does'nt start, the keyfob battery is the first thing that I check, My owners manual says that the keyfob battery should be replaced at least every 12 months, I remember one time when it would'nt start & I tried everything including replacing the keyfob battery & the Bike still would'nt start so I checked all the fuses & they were all ok, so then I checked the 7•5 amp fuse that is in that little wire that connects the trickle charger wire to the positive terminal on the Bike battery & it was blown, there was just enough contact where it had blown to let the lights come on but not enough contact to let the Bike start, luckily I had a spare fuse so I replaced it & the Bike started up straight away, most of us are'nt Mechanics so We all have to go by trial & error & get different tips from each other as well so that's why I mentioned about that little fuse, I hope that this helps somebody else in the same situation.
@@robbieoneil5945 thank you for that in depth post and it’s much appreciated! I try to keep mine changed as well and keep a couple extras with me in the bag. Already had to give someone 1 at a bike night due to theirs doing the same thing. A little kindness never hurt anyone🤙🏼 but they were thankful since it saved them a headache tow bill! Ride easy and keep 2 down ✌🏼
@@StephenRamsey Yeah thanks for that, I live in Australia & over here We can buy the 2032 size button batteries in 2, 4 or 6 packs at most Supermarkets so I Always make sure that I have a few spares with Me just incase because the one that I've got in the keyfob isn't necessarily going to go flat & not let the engine start only when it's convenient, like only when I'm at home.
How comfortable are the bars like that?
@@person13456 those aren’t really comfortable at all! Haha but that’s what the client wanted and liked. Personally, I feel like it would have been much more comfortable with 12 inch bars!
@@StephenRamsey was gonna say my dads ridden a couple with big bars and he said the same very clean piece though
@@person13456 unless you’re just very tall, they’re not for me but happy to do what the client wants! But thank you very much on the compliment!
which one you recommend for a 2016 compass? Thanks in advance
@@nicoleheredia7176 I don’t want to directly make a recommendation since it’s your vehicle. But if I was to go with one, I would either go with the Genuine Mopar Coolant that it calls for, either from the dealership or Amazon, it’s $25 and orange if I remember correctly. Or the Prestone Platinum designed for Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge vehicles and I believe it’s 15-17 a gallon. I hope this helps! Just make sure that you either go with the 50/50 ready to use, or if you get concentrate, to properly dilute it to 50/50 before adding it.
@@StephenRamsey thank you!
Those are the kinds of guys you break check
Not sure I understand what your comment was supposed to mean.
😂😂
Thank you very much. That was exactly what was wrong with mine! Reconnected the black power wire, and all my doors would lock, and windows would roll down!
Dude. Thank you. That was exactly my problem. The orange and white wire was broken.
Awesome! I hate that happened but I’m glad this video helped! Those wires are a pain to get to, but worth it to save some money and frustration. Thanks for the positive feedback!
@StephenRamsey no worries man. They weren't as much of a pain as it was not having the ability to use my remote or the windows and lock on that door. The drivers side was kinked and almost broken a well so both doors got splices.
Funny
yup 😎
Did your can am have to run for you to program the key ?
@@masonbowman6276 this was a couple years ago, but when I took it to the dealership for them to program the key, I think they just had it to the on position and did it from there, then they started it to test it. But they did it right on my trailer since I had made an appointment.
I have the same Jeep .... enormous headache .... when you lift it .... there is a good likelihood it's going to death wobble on certain bumps ..at certain speeds ... the 4.0 high output inline 6 cylinder at cold start ... sounds like a sewing machine having a bad day ... my engine destroyed number 6 piston at 238 thousand miles ... I dropped a 129,000 mile used engine in it ... that one is also noisy at startup ... it'sa piece of s** ... I'm going to buy a 2015 or newer ... Grand Cherokee SRT8 ... because the 99 to 2004 WJ Cherokee with the inline 6 high output .... is a piece of junk ... the same car with the 4.7 L V8 ... is much better ...
@@tr4415 I feel you there! I ended up selling it to an old friend since she needed a vehicle and providing her a good deal on it but it had 192k miles on it, 04 base model inline 6 and it was running like a top when she took it over. But 2015 and newer are made by fiat and a waste of money, believe me. They’re just trash unless you’re in a northern state that’s cooler majority of the year since they don’t like heat!
I will say some good things about it ... I bought it May of 2015 with 192,000 on it ... I paid $3,200 from a wholesaler in Mount Clemens Michigan ... the transmission has held up.. the fuel pump has not failed ... ignition system throttle body and cooling system have all held up ... the front and rear differentials and transfer case have held up ... the SUV is just about the perfect inside and outside dimensions regarding size ... not too big and not too small .... heating and air conditioning blend doors have never given me a problem ... rear defrost still works at 244,000 MI ... wipers still work , quiet... cruise control works perfectly ... the car is not prone to rust ... for the most part except the rocker panels ... they rusted out ... and I'll tell you this much ... 4.0 high output in my Jeep Cherokee with the I think it's the 45rfe transmission ... will outrun the new jeeps with the 3.6 L V6 on the expressway .. I have a little more horsepower and I have a taller gear in the transmission and rear end.... and she'll walk all over the newer V6 Jeeps ... she pulls tree stumps around the house... she will do full out tree removal if I asked her to ... she will remove a vehicle stuck in a snowbank ... if I ask her to... she will take me deer hunting over rough Terrain... I'm just not terribly fond of the engine ... other than that it's not a bad 4x4... ❤... it's a Jeep thing I guess
My cat ...😊
Tons of help , thanks keep info coming
How do you put back on the sleeve
If it didn’t tear when you slid it up, it should simply slide up the cable so that you can unclip the wire from the sensor and then remove the sensor. Then just reverse those steps when you have your new sensor in place. I hope that helped some.
@@StephenRamsey thanks you for the instant reply
@@Ggllg2323 of course! I honestly thought I was replying to another video, my apologies. If you have a small curved pick tool, try to get it under the edge and as you push it back up on there, run it carefully around the edge and guide it with your fingers and it should slide back around all the way. I had a couple comments to reply to which I’m very grateful for!
What is all the talk about everything but the problem
Hello Stephen! Thanks for the video, this is really helpful. Question where can I find the sensor? Like in mopar or what shop? Can’t find it anywhere. Mine is a 2012 3.6 Greetings from Costa Rica
Hey Juan Carlos, you can try CarParts.com, or Amazon/ebay, just type in your year make and model, along with ECT Sensor and see where they ship and if they ship to Costa Rica! Thanks for viewing and the question
Ty
🤙🏼
Great video bro , ty
Unfortunately, any barrel key WILL unlock the Harley fuel door lock. And I could not find another lock that would work.
I actually didn’t know that! Interestingly enough, I “damaged” mine so it no longer turns left to pop it open, haha, so you have to press it in with something smaller to open it, so if they get it to unlock, good luck getting it open! Haha, but good to know! Thanks for the info!
I've used Zerex G-05 antifreeze in my 2007 Jeep Liberty for over 190,000 miles. Always buy full strength and 50/50 dilute with distilled water. Never buy overpriced fluids from dealerships. Distilled water is only hydrogen and oxygen. The minerals like calcium, sodium, and magnesium have been removed from distilled water.
You sir saved me a trip to the dealership, saving me time and money. Thank you very much for taking the time to post!
Awesome! I’m really glad this video helped!!
Orange/white wire in passenger door was broken, exactly like you said.
Thank you you are the only person who knew where this damn sensor was 😂😂😂😂 thank you thank you
Glad the video helped!
This video did help but some of them have a cone shaped cover over them
So how was the windshield
It’s still great on long rides. For shorter rides and around town, I think I prefer my Klockwerks 6.5” windshield. It’s a toss up around the 2 based on what type of ride I’m going on and what coverage I want that day. But I still swap them out and enjoy them both!
Saved me a bunch of time and headache trying to figure out where this was after my CEL threw the P0128 code. Many thanks to you sir!
Awesome! Thank you for the positive feedback and I hope it saved you some time And money!
Hey @crash.testing, I did the final part 3 when it got all put back together, howeverrrr, before I could figure out the fuel issue, someone made me an offer on it and said they’d finalize that part so I sold it. Unfortunately sold all of the toys except the motorcycles and haven’t had much time to even edit my current 2 videos that I’ve recorded. Went through some life changes but I’m trying to get back to getting some more videos loaded! I appreciate you checking in though for sure!
Any updates brother?
I need a nap afterwards
I thought you’re supposed to check the level on the dipstick without screwing in?
I’ve always screwed them in since that’s where the oil level is sitting when it’s settled and how much oil it will be running on when screwed in. I’ve always figured without screwing it in, you run the risk of over filling it. Just my thought process.
Nice man where do u get crush washers for this also would this be the same for a 2007 trx 250 ex???
@@emmanuelruiz7308 I believe the size of the drain plug is the same size. And you can get them a few places, in oil change kits, Honda car and atv dealers have them, or if you know the size advance and autozone offer them through online orders (vendor direct).
@@StephenRamseytheres no oil filter on these?
@@OMWTFYB1323no oil filter, debris collect behind clutch cover, remove to clean
I know this is an old thread but is very informative, appreciate your quick detailed discussion and not overly explain things. Changed my oil yesterday and same BS happened to me on my 2012 jk. Thankfully retrieved all the pieces and ordered a new piece. Thanks again and take it easy.
thank you...
No problem hopefully you found it a little easier and it saved you some money!
Thank you my guy lmao I’ve been searching for them for a while and couldn’t find them

Glad this video could be of some help! Take care out there!
Thank you!
Very welcome! Hope it helped locating it and saving you some money!
Arrrrgh ! I still can’t see it, much less put a tool on it 😡. (Even tried from the bottom) May the engineer that put the etc sensor there suffer terribly in some way !
Thank you, I didn’t even finish the video and went out to the garage and tried my spare started right up then came back in finished the video.
Awesome! I hope it saved you a lot of time, headache and money! Appreciate you viewing and ride safe out there!
Good video but I bought the Baxter check valve so the oil filter does not drain back when the engine is turned off. Instructions say to cut out the larger outside plastic cage so bye bye stupid design failures. The Baxter adapter uses the reliable spin on filter design,
Thank you for posting that information! I’m sure if I still had this vehicle I would’ve been trying other things along the way but it became so much of a burden I decided to get rid of it. But I hope all is well your way and with how it performs!
Used to have a 1973 Challenger 340 I did a frame up restoration on it. I guess you already know that was a whole lot easier than some of the stuff we face on these newer vehicles. I used to be an engineer and feel qualified to say, not all of these so called improvements are good ideas. @@StephenRamsey
Thank you so much for this
Hopefully it helped you out! 🤙🏼
Guys you do not push in the clip, 1st u grab the red lock then pull it towards you then you just push and pull really easy , dont kill your self trying to push and pull , 1st remove the lock
