Emmanuel and Bless you Friend. 60 yrs old here who had the same exact experiences. One thing I learned that changed my life is if you REALLY ANALYSE the scriptures, loving is not the sin. It's the act (which by the way is in effect for M/F relations too). If you could learn to avoid the physical (which actually is one of the main tenants of Christianity), your entire life will change. You can still love anther man. Ask yourself, when is love EVER a sin??? 37 year relationship here, but God called my soul mate home last year. The devistation is indescribable, almost inhumane. It is only my faith that holds me toghether. Please belive in yourself. You are handsome, honest and mature. My prayers are with you, brother.

Always remember that Jesus still loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. He knows you're gay and can't change so He accepts you where you are and wants to build you up not tear you down.

I am a retired Baptist Pastor and I have always been gay. That was medically proven during electronic shock therapy. Being gay is perfectly normal. The answer for me was studying the original Hebrew and Greek on the clobber passages. I was amazed when I did this. It is perfectly normal to be gay. God creates some people (and animals) gay and He has done a fantastic job of it. Being gay is NOT a sin. My guess is we have both been told many lies about homosexuality by the church. I hope your coming out goes well. I would love to be able to give you a big hug. You are absolutely fine just as you are. God didn't make any mistakes when He made us gay.

Coming out will never change your life it only allow you to live the life that you want and it enabling you to be yourself. Brother I was raised a Baptist also. & I just want to tell you Don’t ever worry about going to Hell because you’ve already been there! The hateful Christian church has tried to guilt us into believing that lie. God created us to love other men for his own purposes. We will find out what for when we get to Heaven. My son came out to me when he was 18 yrs. old - and honestly I had always know he would do that one day although he too, "dated" girls, etc. Luckily, we had raised him although Catholic - always sharing that we didn't believe everything they preached - and included that being gay was not a choice, everyone deserved to love who they love. If you do...I just wanted to say, after hearing your coming out message and your update, that you are a very sincere and thoughtful man. God made you...just as you are and He accepts and loves you...just as you are. It's sad that your parents, grandparents, and others, are so self-religious that they cannot accept and love you in the same way. Hey Christopher, I know this is late but I will tell you though, a friend of mine came out to me once and I was shocked but I'm still friends with him, he's still the same person I've known since I was a kid just like you're still the same person too. The people who will be there for you are the ones who love you unconditionally no matter what warts and all. My kid brother and I both are on the Autism Spectrum, I have Asperger's Syndrome, a mild form of autism, and my brother has severe autism, my point is everyone, straight or gay, special needs or normal, deserve and need to be loved unconditionally, especially when it comes to when people become parents themselves, unconditional love is for everyone!

I'm from Montgomery Alabama but raised strict catholic
